what does it mean when the impact drill says 16mm?

this for example Bosch GSB 16 RE Professional

does it mean it can only use 16mm bit? or can we use different sized bits?

sorry for really noob question. never used power tool before

Did it have a leveling gauge built in? If have, than can tembak vertically.

it doesnt have a levelling gauge but it has like a floating gimbal thingy inside that lights up an indicator if its not level.
the gimbal will automatically line up the laser. but it doesnt work when it is lying on its back
i have yet to read the instruction. maybe its possible

I think that 1 is leveling gauge. Once it horizontal line level, the vertical line will straight up. Try it out and let us know here.

Oh you mean that.. Yes it has a self level. First the box must be no more than +-4 degrees. Than the rest is done by self leveling. Both horizontal and vertical line are fixed. It's not independent. None are I think

So I was eyeing this Bosch cordless screwdriver. Only about Rm200. Uses 3.6V battery. Not too powerful but for the price....cant ask for much.
user posted image

Of course I would prefer this other one - GSR 10,8-2-LI (see pic below)
It is using 10.8v battery but the price kills me at almost Rm500
user posted image

Then today I saw this newly released model. Also using 10.8V battery. (see pic below)
The price ngam my budget. Only cost around Rm270. What do you guys think?

get the new model.
i'm using the older 10.8-2 and it's much more versatile compared to the ProDrive which my cousin has. at RM270 do get the newer 1080-2 as you'll only lose the battery charge led. it has longer head, smaller battery and a bit heavier.

difference between the torque isn't much and you'll never use them to drill large steel anyway. longer head is actually preferred as the older 10.8-2 is unbalanced with the back heavier compared to the front. battery level meter isn't really needed as the battery charges in under 30 min. also the smaller battery won't make much of a difference since you'll have 2 and could keep one fully charged. i've never used more than half even half days of work with them.

if budget is at RM500 get the cordless drill with impact.

Thanks paskal for your input. Ya I guess it's a no brainer. Only Rm70-80 more
Only thing I'm worried about is after I use it for a couple of months then it doesn't get use after that. Will the battery deteriorate until it cannot be charge or use any longer?
I have one laptop battery that I never use often and eventually it can't be use at all

they're pretty reliable. they don't lose the charge much even after long unused.
furthermore, the battery is quite readily available on the market. around RM150 a pair if i'm not mistaken. anyway i always leave them filled at 1 bar during storage. that should leave the charge around 20-30% which is the recommended level to store a lithium ion cell (recommended at 40% capacity for long term storage).

anyway if you're worried just store them at max charge and unplug the cells from the drill.
