hmmm...any suggestion on driller? i need to drill bathroom and kitchen tiles wall to hang accessories usually found in both these place..
also on my concrete wall in living room and bedroom..

plan to DIY all these myself... my budget for driller around RM300++
any model recommend and the place/shops to get it??
*
to drill tiles, u need normal drill function..
then oni u use the hammer function after u made a hole on the tiles...

the demolition hammer above might and might not have it,
some have 3 modes, some have 2 modes only...

for ur DIY job, u don't need a demolition hammer
but preferably a rotary hammer will make the job easier...

impact drill oso can, but a bit slow for concrete wall...

RM 300 for new rotary hammer, u can oni get china brands....
less than rm500 for branded ones..

but skill rotary is RM 299.

here a list of rotary sold on mudah..

hi guys & experts,

I need some help here. I've always bought a lot of stuff from LYN but when it comes to power tools, i'm kinda stuck cos.. most the seller here are idle nowadays. Those that i found i ask 5 question they answer 1 and some said don't want to disclose their tradelist.. wtf?

anyway, I'm from Sabah and wanted to get a Bosch Impact drill GSB 10 RE
but after reading bit here, they say 10 RE is not power enough as it's only 500W

I need to drill my home concrete wall to hang things etc. But also after some read here even the ciplak/chapalang rotary hammer drill can be used but when i serch mudah under sabah.. found 0 on sale

can anyone help me get these things or not?
plus the rotary hammer can use fine drill bit? like 2mm etc? or they all use big drill bit?

thx

Thanks bro

I see, i read the SDS rotary in wiki means it will drive the bit up and down i think, i think i got how it works here now
at first i thought it just spins like a drill

yeah they should have these stores in KK but things are really limited here that's why 95% of my stuff I just grab them from lowyat
plus i've already accustom to sit in front of pc and search for things thru lowyat and duwan face the traffic and parking problems in KK nowadays

oh well, if no one can help me get then prolly i will need to bring my lazy ass and go search in the local shops
another thing i like to buy from lyn online cos i know the price i get is good, not cut throat from the shops one

H2D, i am thinking to get a cordless drill to do few DIY job, but occasionally i will need it to drill my house wall to hang few things.
some people said that cordless drill is not sufficient to drill wall, is it true?
i dont think my wall is a concrete or beam except area at the corners or pillars.

which one is more economical for my case?
a) buy one cordless drill (Skil or Black&Decker RM180++) for DIY job and one corded drill for wall (Black&Decker for RM140++)
b) buy one cordless drill (BOSCH RM300++) for both job.

but if I go for option B, which model should i get? my max budget is not more than RM400 rclxub.gif

get a skill rotary drill for less than rm300, that is a better bet for drilling hole. why do you need the cordless for? if for screwing then get impact driver, albeit the price i think its is worth makita corded is around rm220. other wise black and decker cordless screw driver less than rm100-150 will do the job.

your diy job, involves screwing n drilling small holes? on wood n metal?

a cordless is much more convenient. if u mainly wana screw n drill holes, ( except wall )

get a cordless with adjustable clutch.

the more expensive, the lighter the tool n bigger battery capacity.

pref Li-Ion model.
user posted image

a cordless drill without impact, will take a long time.. to drill brick wall.

if the hole is small.. u can try.. make sure dun burn the motor, let it rest a few times.

a corded impact drill, can cover most of ur need except, u will find it very diff to control if u wana
screw, oso heavy..

a rotary hammer is mainly for drilling brick n masonry concrete, chiseling...
uses SDS+ chuck, it might not be the one u need.

i think u should invest in a cordless first. get a good one. go to hardware shop to test, some have demo units.
get one tht u feel is not too heavy.

then try on ur wall, if it really can't drill the hole, then u get another corded impact drill. ( u sound like drilling wall is ur 2nd priority.)
