Anyone know where I can buy a Panasonic Wifi Dongle at a cheaper price? There is only one type available, right?

Added on February 26, 2012, 7:22 pmThe Panasonic seller told me that some normal wifi dongle (~RM20-ish) can also be used, but he cannot remember which brand was it. Anyone has the same experience that uses other wifi dongle on a Panasonic TV?

Interesting, i kinda like lg passive3d tech. It feel a bit natural to me at least.. And the clip on glasses is huge plus for those who's on prescription glasses

Not based on the calibrations I hv done in Malaysia. Also each set is different so beware.

If u do not want to calibrate ur set, I would suggest to use the Pro mode, set brightness with a test pattern (typically shd be 0, anything more would cause excessive dithering near black). Contrast shd be about 50 for day mode, about 70 for night mode. Desaturate colour slightly to below 50 ~ 48. That shd be better than using the settings here. Do not touch greyscale/white balance as u r bound to make it worse if there is no meter. Also leave the CMS untouched. Select gamma of 2.4 for dark room and 2.2 or 2.0 for a bright room.

I would suggest getting this set calibrated properly either urself or by someone who has the proper meters/experience as its a fine set and shd be calibrated.

True Cinema is close to the Pro1/Pro2 but I believe the gamut is not as accurate and the gamma is also not that great. I cannot recall for sure now sorry.

I really cannot say without actually reviewing ur environment on the gamma. Also I am not sure how ur set is behaving without measurements.

If there is a lot of ambient light, ur iris will close so a lower gamma is normally the better option.

If U can afford to buy a new model, better wait for it. But in my case, I can't afford it and just can spend around 3K. So i bought 50u30. If I'm not mistaken, 50u30 was around 4K when it officially release. I expect the same for the new model and maybe higher than that.

i dont think the 2012 models are rebrand, they may look similair outside but im sure there are some fine stuff they did to call it a new improved model.

if you have the funds, better buy, but equally select a model(or a few models) that you really like and go for it.the more you think the more you'll be putting it off.its all about decision.

Hi guys, I bought a Panasonic Viera TH-42U30K last january, I usually connect it to my laptop via HDMI. When watching movies, I notice very severe Fluctiating Brightness issue with the TV, for example in dark scenes, the TV would dim the TV so much that i couldnt make up what's on screen. And if there are subttiles, suddenly the brightness become better.

Any thoughts?

I don't know about your area. I bought my TV at electronic shop (Not a big name shop) in Sungai Petani around RM2850 last December.
