Yes. Yesterday (Sunday) can use already.

Streetdeal.my via payment gateway Ipay88 accepted my CC txn using Amex Maybank2 card. But there's no TAC verification available like Mastercard Securecode of Verified by Visa.

And this was not thru the paypal option. Ipay88 actually supports Amex now and just started few days back.

Let's hope this will open the floodgate to more usage for Amex cards.

Toys R Us Express - Paradigm Mall does not accept AMEX.

I believe TRU has not set the EDC to accept AMEX at this brand new store (opened on 23 May 2012).
The MBF EDC message was "Transaction Not Allowed"

Have you tried to pay during the weekends to obtain the 5% rebates?

Did you try doing more than 2 transactions on the same site on the same day? I couldn't do any further transaction after successfully doing 2 transactions.
And at 2 different times, the Customer Service gave the same answer, 'problem with merchant'.

Certain merchant doesn't allow multiple transactions back to back.

For MyEG, they or MBB will block for the 3rd transaction.

Made purchase thru mydeal.com and Groupon on the same day. No problem at all. Both SMS notification arrived immediately.

The Buy 1 Free 1 is for any Platinum level of AMEX card ... even Maybankard 2 AMEX Platinum

I think there's some misunderstanding. A per quote, they only accept AMEX Platinum as mode of payment and not accept Gold. I believe Wacky was not refering the AMEX platinum.
