Has anyone use Maybank2 AMEX to autopay TNB electricity bills?
The TNB website says AMEX is only applicable for charge cards, not credict cards. (http://www.tnb.com.my/residential/payment-methods.html).
*
Yes you can.

Previously I use the Amex Charge card for autopay for 5x MR.

Now already change to MBB-2-Amex. Confirm 5x TP.

Based on 3% commission and on a RM100K, do you prefer the RM3K in discount given to you by the car dealer?
*
Assume 100k swipe Amex x5 = 500k TP
Change Jusco voucher at MBB 1U centre, 20k TP = RM100
which means 500k TP = RM2,500 only.
i.e. 2.5%

Therefore, get RM3k is better icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyone has tried the online login for MPSJ - English ?

Can pay by Amex through online ? Or just Visa/Master ?
Seems like registration is troublesome, needs verification docs & MyKad hmm.gif

i tried it just now, cannot go through with error "[Maybank] Merchant is not allowed to process cards in this Payment system". payment gateway is maybankard.net

called MBB CS but they said no declined transactions recorded at their end. So I asked them to unblock my card for online transaction for mpsj and they replied that my Amex is not block for anything - including online transaction

i remembered reading some posts back saying need to call to unblock ??? rclxub.gif

Haiz... last weekend I went to DBKL to pay cukai tanah & pintu. The Amex system is down, only can accept Visa/Master mad.gif Waste my time.

Guess I've to include few more into auto-pay.

Anybody knows if DiGi Online accepts AMEX? I intend to pay postpaid online from DiGi OCS. But they didn't mention if AMEX is accepted. Only can select from list of banks.
*
Last I pay 1-2 years ago, online is Visa/Master only.

QUOTE(Coconut @ Feb 7 2012, 11:40 AM)

No, I also received it couple of days back. Nothing spectacular spending from me in recent 1-2 months. Perhaps the mass-mailer is still queuing to send out the emails.

Look like my current area EssoMobil no more accept amex. Already try two different EssoMobil petrol station, transaction decline.
Finally go to Caltax and the transaction approve.
*
Sat, 19-May was a disaster with Amex at EssoMobil. I tried 3 times at two stations, all failed. In the end, claim 3000 Smiles for RM45 petrol. doh.gif The cashier says is Amex system problem.

Sun, 20-May, the system is back to normal. Still can use Amex.

I used to use Amex for payment of assessment at DBKL Counter at shopping mall.
But this year, the counter staff said they no longer accept Credit Card payment.
Anyone experience this?
*
Earlier this year first-half, I tried pay at DBKL branch, they say Amex down doh.gif I think I pay using Visa, which is a waste of time since I can use Visa online as well.
2nd-half, I saw DBKL at MBB Treatsfair at Mid Valley, immediate pay using Amex thumbup.gif

Means Mid Valley DBKL counter can accept Amex?

I have check with DBKL counter at Berjaya Times Square, the staff said ALL counter now also no credit card machine... rclxub.gif
*
MV is special for during MBB Treatsfair only at the 4th floor MVCC. Now exhibition counter closed already.
But even after pay, several days later, DBKL office printed the same bill and snail-mail to me asking for payment doh.gif System not real-time updated.

Counter wise, I'm not going to waste time there anymore. I'll just pay through Visa online, after all, my DBKL is not a lot, cheap house only. Cukai tanah even cheaper, RM30/yr only, increase from RM25. laugh.gif Otherwise, don't pay and wait next year TF again. Got penalty for late payment ? hmm.gif

For Esso/Mobil that accepts Amex, is the payment have to be done through counter? I tried few places through the pump but it rejected my card, since I was lazy to go inside to queue so I just used my Mastercard.
I did try through counter in one branch in Skudai but they don't accept Amex sweat.gif
*
All done at pump. Sometimes due to communication link is down, Amex can't be used. Happened before.

It can't be that bad, most likely something somewhere is wrong.
hmm.gif
Amex CC can use in other transactions like Tesco/Jusco ? i.e. chip no problem ?
Try different pump number and different stations at different date/time ?
Other stations like Shell can use Amex ?
Got call up MBB CS and enquire why can't ?

Mobil - between Tapah and Kampar (old road, very big one)
both counter and pump terminal
do not accept AMEX...

Added on September 3, 2012, 10:09 pmEsso - Gopeng accepts AMEX...
*
Between hills & tall trees, very eerie station. Especially when it is getting dark / dusk.

I prefer full tank at Ipoh, or PLUS Tapah R&R Shell, or Sg. Buloh R&R Esso or when reach home at KL.

Actually I want to go MPSJ counter / roadshow to pay using Amex, but not worth drive all the way there. yawn.gif

Want to register MPSJ online 5% discount, but they need Mykad, don't feel like giving them (P&C). MPSJ bill not enough to create login meh ? doh.gif

Wanted to pay at last-week of Aug, but forgot tongue.gif

This week remember and want to pay using Visa/Master, but suddenly see Amex rclxms.gif yahoo! laugh.gif

QUOTE(bertdeen30 @ Sep 4 2012, 03:09 AM)
all assessment in dbkl can pay with amex . i did few time .
*
Yeah, supposedly.

I tried at DBKL branches (not Jln Raja Laut HQ), always say Amex offline la, problem la, what la.
Fed-up and continue pay with Visa/Master online M2u. Not worth to drive there also.

Now I found already, wait for MBB Treatsfair in June/July brows.gif

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Sep 4 2012, 07:50 AM)
U mean thru m2u? Din know this. Do they charge on the same day (weekends)?
*
As of few months back, must be over at branch counter. M2u only Visa/Master.

For quit rent, I recall cannot use CC at counter, they want cash only, since DBKL is collecting on behalf for Jabatan Tanah & Galian W.P.

Btw, I  think now many people (I one of them) complain about Increasement of TNB electric bill, because of They had exchange our Old Meter to
the New Digital so our bill also increased lah....  doh.gif
*
OT: this is due mainly to the old meter is inaccurate, hence giving lower readings.

In my case, after TNB change to new meter last year, no changes to billing also. Average +/- RM5 around there.

Means my old-meter is accurate, ~20 years old.

An official statement from ipay 88 would clear our doubt as they still advertise on their banner that they are accepting amex. Ikea case is closed as they did reply to one of the forumer.
*
Bought from Ikea last weekend with visa sad.gif

The non-compliance is because Ikea still swipe Amex magnetic bar, not plug-in to read the chip.

The transaction when I purchased vouchers is listed as:
AEON SMKT BDRY

While departmental store purchases are:
AEON DEPT BDRY

Oh no..does this mean vouchers are not entitled for the 15% cashback? For those that have purcharsed aeon vouchers, can you check yours under SMKT or DEPT?
*
From my previous experience, SMKT is consider as super-market, not departmental.
