You can do it through the phone. They accept AMEX but it may not be processed during the weekends.

The trick would be to get the insurance thru the CS on the phone early saturday and insist that they swipe your AMEX on the same day. I did that and got the 5% rebate.

As per my question on Petronas Dagangan official FB page in regards to AMEX acceptance at the pumps.

QUOTE
The answer is yes, we are working on it. We'll be accepting AMEX at the pumps soon.

Which post are you responding to?
If you are refering to Etiqa Takaful Motor Insurance, yes you will still get the 10% discount thru the CS, on top of the 5% rebate.

purposely went to etiqa thinking they're accepting amex. when everything done and time for payment, the agent servicing me declined my amex2cards. (quite smart of her actually, knowing that there's a backup). forced to use visa, but at least got that 10% discount.

i actually asked whether taking amex before purchasing the car insurance, said yes. only when presenting the card mbb2amex, she just said 'don't accept'. asked her again, same answer. but later at the counter beside accepted the conventional amex. (gold). Next year, just switch to other insurance company, no need to ask accept or don't accept...

Added on May 5, 2012, 1:00 amby the way, are there any differences between the 2 cards amex and the normal amex cc?
