Streetdeal.my via payment gateway Ipay88 accepted my CC txn using Amex Maybank2 card. But there's no TAC verification available like Mastercard Securecode of Verified by Visa.

And this was not thru the paypal option. Ipay88 actually supports Amex now and just started few days back.

Let's hope this will open the floodgate to more usage for Amex cards.

Did you try doing more than 2 transactions on the same site on the same day? I couldn't do any further transaction after successfully doing 2 transactions.
And at 2 different times, the Customer Service gave the same answer, 'problem with merchant'.

Yes, this is confirmed. I guessed they're still updating the sites as Amex was still not usable last week on groupon. Some other deal sites like webuy.com still cant use Amex via iPay88
but should be a thing of history soon enough.


Was the payment successful using an Amex issued by Maybank using Malaysian currency?


Btw, Dynasty Paradise & Pacific Coffee Company & hopefully temporary - Starbucks in Paradigm Mall does not accept Amex.

Waku Waku Restaurant - Midvalley (no limits, I managed to swipe RM20 Transaction.

Ben's - Pavilion (only saw KLCC in the list)

Yeah, agreed, and we were so excited by the hype earlier that iPay88 accepts Amex.

These merchants accepts Amex:
Wondermama (Cafe) at Bangsar Shopping Village
Samira Restaurant in Sentul Park
Healy Mac's Irish bar in Changkat Bukit Bintang

and these do not:
Antipodean (Cafe) in Bangsar
Little Pantry (Cafe) in IOI Mall, Puchong

Food & Tea - Tropicana City Mall does not accept Amex.

Steam Room in Viva Mall does accept Amex now.
It's spelled wrongly as 'Seam Rom Restaurant - Viva Mall' in the post btw...
