And they are Authorized partner only

1 Utama are authorized partner, not Maxis center.
All authorized partners does not accept Maxis

For me, if im buying something i would just 1st ask whether accept Amex or not if not then just give Visa..
Dont tell me u wanted to buy something then come to this thread to check the shop accept or not, and if no accept then u find another shop?

If i recall correctly, the edc terminal are quite far from customer's place so its pretty hard to see whats going on.

Unless they swiped the magnetic strip instead of using the chip then yes...or a fallback transaction.

Maybe the cashier thought i was referring to Buy 1 Free 1 too, thats why she say only for Platinum. lolz.

Anyway i used EON card its giving atleast 5% (tickets below RM10 for RM0.50 and above RM10 for RM1)..And it was not weekend that day anyway lolz

Well actually if iPay88 accepts Amex, then by default all the merchants that use thier gateway will able to accepts Amex.
That is because your are actually paying (debit) to iPay88 instead of paying directly to the merchant.

Well that is unless the gateway script has some different and needed to be updated manually at the merchant website (which i supposed it doesnt, although i saw someone previously said need manual update)..

Logically, the payment details should accept any garbage/dummy info and all dumped to the iPay88 server to be processed locally there, so it should not have do any checking at merchant website.

Declined should be something wrong with ur account already.. If dont accept should not get this.

You can actually cash-in at Senheng or HSL or other place using Amex, but got 0.5% fee (min RM0.50 fee)..

Logically, lets say for RM500 cash-in - 0.5% you will get RM497.50 into your M-Money account.
Lets not even take the 5% weekend rebate into consideration, even for normal days 5x TP would be equivalent to 2.5% rebate..
So you have actually earned 2% by doing this.


Although some ppl (or blogger) said they were actually got charged when they cash out at Maxis Centre but i still not sure coz i havent done it b4...
