Should take less than 20 seconds to flash using Odin. If it's stuck, just pull the battery and reset Odin, and repeat the procedure again.

Make sure your Kies is completely shut down in the task manager on the computer.

need force shut the kies?
i didnt pull battery , i just close the odin , then press longtime for the power button. gonna try it later

Personally, I used Chainfire Root to root my device.
Instructions available on the first page as well.
Just visit Chainfire's thread on XDA and everything is explained clearly there.

Yes you must shut down kies. Odin won't work with Kies in the background.

after done full.wipe.and install.new.rom, how do i revert back to my previous rom that i backedup using cwm? do i need.to do a wipe again?

i want to load the Touch X-Power ROM. i read out all the instructions but got some questions:

1) I'm running on Cognition S2 Kernel:Ninphetamine-2.1.3. do i need to change this value before i load the X-power rom?

HOW TO GUIDE, IF CHANGING KERNEL located in \system\etc\init.d\s98undervolt & maybe another... check all with name undervolt in them....

If you are changing kernel to another, first check how many Mhz states it has.

YOU MUST change theese values BEFORE flashing new kernel, otherwise it will lockup all the time

2) i can use the CWM to load this ROM right? does this ROM will perform the full wipe?

X-power is a bit un-user friendly at the moment. LOL. If you did not flash SP1 it will work fine. But if you flash SP1 you need to correct permission in script and change UV setting or just delete the UV script. Haih getting tired of explaining.

Just wait for SP2 to come out la. The chef posted a post with lots of winking smilies so i think SP2 is coming very soon. I hope.
