what i experience recently friend of mine same issue as your current now.just take out the hdd and plugin back then swith on the power(green light) leave it there blank picture like 2-5minutes estimate after that you will see a "format" thingy safemode . try your luck,just sharing experience

additional notes: your hdd format must go for FAT32 .

Previously PSN allow 5 person to share on 1 games and currently only 2 person allow to share on 1 games and my question is 1 of the member which share among us on PSN that is using the 5 person sharing method have his ps3 dead so if i were to deactivate all the 5 person on that specific account and can all those 5 person which share with that specific account activate back on their ps3 to get their games working again?

afaik,it's only effect the games which u buy after the update.if u buy before the new rules u still can share the games with 5 others.

After doing the rebuild database, everything goes smooth for probably couples of minutes. Try to play two player in fifa12 and it start lagging like I was playing online. Same goes to Battlefield, after spawn I have to wait atleast 10 seconds for the gun to appear and start shooting.
I suspect my hdd problem.

hi, my PS3 5 months old freezes while playing game most of the time some time it freezes at the menu screen.
Whenever it freezes i had to switch off from the main power i tried to press and hold the power button but it didnt work. Any solution or should i send it for repair?

Both symptoms happened to me.. First still can boot up after hard reset.. Then now my ps3 cant turn on at all.. Already reflow and 4 penny tricks.. Not working at all.. One more thing for sure.. It wasnt hdd failure..

I have black screen issue when connect direct my ps3 slim to my monitor samsung s22b350h through sony hdmi cable.

the monitor have vga and hdmi port only, max reso 1920x1080. I try connect the monitor with astro hd using hdmi cable it works fine and the ps3 works fine with my samsung led tv.

I heard about hdcp through findings on the internet, but how to solve this?
