guys, my PS3 slim do freeze frequently nowadays.. i have to hard reset the ps3 .. never encountered this before, any idea what went wrong?

i did restore DB and file system, still occur..
game that I encountered are FIFA12, BF3

idk it's overheat cause when i touched the ps3 during hang, the hot is normal.. same like 1st day of I bought..

perhaps ps3 hdd prob?

Ylod symptoms? I hope not , Oh I just googled somewhere try "rebuild database" in the safe mode. Hopefully it will do the trick.

Yeah I suspect its the hdd too after further readings in the internet , how long do u have ur ps3 bro xortz? If recently can go claim the warranty me think.

is there any symptom may occurred from hdd ? just need to re-confirm before I straight away buy new hdd.

I already tried rebuild the database, but the problem still happen.. I bought the console on April 2011, SG set.

Maybe the disc cracked? just my assumption....

well the hdd led will be blinking continuously and the game will experience lag ... framerate stutters before the game eventually hang (ps3 hard reset needed)

the discs are in good condition, this happened to FIFA 12 & BF3
Or is it has to do with EA Games?


so far, never experienced hdd led blinking, only screen will freeze. can't move, PS button no longer work.. completely freeze..

Hey guys is it possible to charge the controller using PC usb ports?

EDIT:The red lights r flashing..so I guess it's charging right?Is it possible to play pc games with it?I mean need to connect the cable or can play wireless?

yes (plug ds3 to the pc usb port)

for pc gaming (the need to install drivers into PC OS)... well to play using usb cable or the pc have bluetooth support for wireless

guys, i've taken out the hdd from ps3, now i connect to the pc via sata cable & sata power
my windows xp didn't recognize the hard disk, any idea how to retrieve all data inside ps3 hard disk?

there's no way to retrieve the data if the hdd gone (unless u did back up previous data on some external storage)
