1) make sure ps3 power turn off
2) then turn on ps3 by holding power button for more than five seconds until it beep once.

since my ps3 slim is dead, I'm thinking to get MY set, with model 3006B ,
is it good with that model?

hey guys..sometimes (esp when installing game in HDD) my bluray lens make some noise as if scatching sound, is it normal?

yep its normal

my phat ps3 shutsdown by itself, most of the times within minutes of loading Disgaea 4. If it doesn't shut down, then things are fine and dandy - except for this one time when it shut down after an hour or so.

screen blacks out, i think there is a beep and flashing red light. press and hold the power button and it turns itself on and scolds me for not shutting down properly. then it checks the system files and restarts. 4 out of 5 times after that, it is back to normal?

PS3 on its last legs or a hard disk problem?

guys,do i need to change my hdmi cabel to the high speed one 1.4 when using 3d TV ? normal one cant support ?

system overheat..... shutdown frequently means its one of the symptoms of ps3 ylod

either change thermal paste or get new ps3 instead (once ps3 ylod)

Lately my ps3 bd drive damn hard to catch & loading bd game.need 5-6 try

Some say bd drive going die.....................soon.Some say bd drive can repair/replace.
Does anyone here/now what the price ?.Any forumer provide this bd drive repair/replace?.

And..some say not worth repair/replace bd drive..buy new one ps3..headache free !!!
And..some say depend on lucky.If lucky enough..can saving ringgit for new ps3 when bd drive 'kaput' again

i still confuse bout the backup part. does this means i backup the data from my ps3 to external hdd? this is to prevent if just in case my ps3 hdd kong?

i own a PSP, so more or less its the same, probably some added features which is far greater than a PSP..

happy owner of the ps3 now. =) guess i should seriously consider retiring PS1, PS2, PSP, NDSL... lol
