I've shorted more 420/415 Puts spread for AAPL tonight.. that's it. I'm full now.
Will wait for Friday confirm money.

Banking + Financial counters extend good gains..

The Dow and S&P 500 have gained close to 19% ,while the Nasdaq has rallied
near 20% in year 2013 as today.

Diverting and allocating 20% equity portfolio to other platforms..
Any FEAR from bond-purchase reduce/end or interest rate hike by Fed,
may trigger short-term correction and PERHAPS, maybe sound a good attractive bargain hunting at later.

Time for another weekly pay cheque tonight.

As usual, futures red, traders cashin in after all time high again.
Not expecting big sell off or move but holding flat and slightly pull back would be good enough.

Another record high. Genius!

Another week to start off with full of anticipating buyers..people chasing here.
But, I got nothing much to buy here at this level (except Gold).

I'll continue to sell naked PUTs (working 2 last weeks) and wait for better price to come down.

Watching BIDU this week,. this baby is making its pre-earnings run. Might sell off later.
Going to buy dips later (100-103).

Also, fav.. baby: AAPL (beat expectation or else back to 380s or below).

anyone betting on NFLX earnings with straggle/straddle?

Not me.. when do they report? What do you see ahead?

If gets a great earning, it may goes up to reach and crawls to its previous high 304. If not so good, it may hit its 50MA. Previous 2 earnings, if opened with strag, the profit was handsome. Thus, I'm gambling on strag. Wishfully, the delta moves able to offset the vega drop.

Compared to previous 2 earnings, the breakeven for this time is higher *gulp*.

Will NFLX be able to be as bullish as previous pre-announcing 2 earnings? not too sure.........

Would you take strag on NFLX or AAPL?

Not too bad ... -8% on knee jerk reaction.
Your PUTs side of the straddle could be working. Let see how it opens tomorrow since we can't trade options after hours.

I've yet to decide how to play AAPL. Maybe a -5%_to_+5% straddle too but market seems to pricing in more than 5% move already.

Interesting. How do you play straddle/straggle on NFLX earning? IV drop would be huge on first 1-2 sessions after earning. Still can make money? Thanks.

Got my eyes on BIDU and the new one SRPT (pharma drug play) tonight.
No entry yet but conservative shorting weeklies PUTs side for SRPT seems good as it is IV and premium value is high.

I'll put AAPL aside for now until after the earnings. Too unpredictable now.

countdown - are u still in NFLX? Indeed got whacked down but looks like holding support at 250.

no good, dislike the dark pool, -8% (50MA), -5%, -2% and now -3.72% pre-market....sure can't cover the vega drop....

Very difficult to trade in fact trading earning is more like a gamble. I was taking strag due to NFLX past 2 earnings gotten a very handsome gain i.e the delta gain able to offset the vega drop. Last time was like more than 10% move, now with 3.72% forget abt it....
