1) I have a 16g 3G/WiFi unit. I've noticed that the tab run much faster in 3G then WiFi in Browsing/Downloading. I had Unifi at home so it cannot be the network problem as all my other PCs/Notebook are running fast and fine. I've tried on/off wifi on both my tab and also the wireless router(as recommended in the XDA thread) but still the problem persists. Any sifu encounter similar problem and any solution is most appreciated.
2) Just wondering how do we protect the data in the tab in the event of lost/theft? Is there a way or app to remotely wipe the data in such event. Also is there a way to activate any method for tracking the tab??

OK found the solution for question (1) after googling...just need to set the wifi channel to 1 instead of auto(default value), from what I gathered, the tab has problem with some wifi channels.

Hi guys..I am having this problem now (grey screen after i failed on initiating kies wifi and clear memory)..anyone know how to save it other than restoring to factory default???
any1 having problem when long hour tetthering? my device seem goes blank, hang or shut down when i leave it long hour tetthering to download torrent ... when i restart the tab the battery still have half to go... any1 face this problem?

Any significant difference between the wifi only and wifi+3G? Plan to get a wifi version only soon. A bit worried as Samsung likes to do this, just like the old 7 inch tab and Galaxy S2.

i have bought several units from the US and luckily none of them have the newton ring symptoms it all depends on which store and which batch does it not totally make sense that when suppliers want to sell some units outside of the country as AP sets , they pick the affected batches first so it would not be sold in the stores to prevent warranty claim headaches...the AP importers also have the understanding that they are receiving this high risk batches since they are getting below market prices in order to sell them as AP sets.
