by the way, the usb connection is the MTP kind, not the real usb mount like pendrive, so the time estimation maybe not that accurate.

Juz notice my unlock screen disappear already, izzit because i rooted my tab? Anyone can briefly explain , after rooted, any setting will be changed ????

lol...the unlock screen is useless la, i install "no unlock" to get rid of it first thing when i got the tab.
tab is not like phone, super highly unlikely will accidentally unlock since its not in your pocket.

but strange, after root, when i enable back the lock screen (means disable the "no unluck" app), my lock screen still missing. not that i miss it, but just let you know you are not alone with this "problem" :-)

It's wipe personal data and cache.

Ok, put it this way. Original recovery mode will wipe everything, but cwm recovery mode will retain your stuff in /sdcard folder.

Halo, what's your problem? Can specific bit? Root won't change lock screen thou

Cwm wipe will only reset the firmware part.. all google account and apps will be reset..

Files/data on storage like music/movie/game data files normally gets erase when u flash using odin method....

But my unlock screen disappear after i rooted my tab, and i juz wanna noe after rooted the tab, how the tab will be different compare with unrooted one???

from my understanding, rooted tab can access to more settings and install special application , how i can access and install those application to take full advantages???

1 more thing is why my friend's tab can upgrade to 3.2 through FOTA ( if not mistaken)??? mine shows no upgrade available and i even tried to use Kies.

That one is using odin, just skip that. Copy zip into tab, reboot into recovery, then instal zip via menu. Reboot, done.

Your friends is using which tab? 10.1 don't have ota for 3.2 yet.. 8.9 n 7 plus both using 3.2

Are you copying anything using Odin now?

Long press on power button, ur tab will shutdown....
then start again and go to cwm

If u dint flash anything in odin, then u should be fine... can just shutdown the tab..

-wipe cache partition

Cwm won't brick your tab don't worry, install first, wipe later. First boot will take longer, don't worry, it's normal. I instal ROM more than playing angry bird with my tab
