On go keyboard, dont know what do u mean by wierd..
in pad mode, u can set it to 3 diff version... 5inch, 7inch, 9/10inch mode..
here's the 10inch mode.. any diff from yours?
And the speed is very responsive..i dont feel any lag at all when typing this reply...
And im on stock 3.1 ....

Added on January 19, 2012, 10:53 ammy personal point of view, custom rom can be quite fun to play with, mainly the rom feels lighter and faster, zero lag when you quickly switch between windows, homescreen and apps..

but sometime, there are bugs... like picture doesnt come up in gallery...
wifi cannot auto connect after waking up... no tactile feedback on keyboard, force close etc...

after trying both overcome and task rom for a while, i decided to go back to stock 3.1, but rooted - so i can remove all bloatwares like social hub etc

but u must at least try these custom roms once.. get the feel of it... diff people hav diff needs and taste... maybe u'll like it...
in my case, malaysian 3.1 stock version DXKL1 is smooth enough for my usage... and best thing bout stock rom... evryting works as it should...

for keyboard, my weird meaning the split view.
my tablet casing is the kind that can stand, so i put it about 45 degrees on a flat surface, and i can type like a normal keyboard. it would be best if its a standard layout.
i set it to phone mode, and adjust it to normal layout, but sadly it also lags.

i think i've come to accept that all the keyboard in honeycomb lags so far.
my word/minute is around 80. (according to http://typera.tk/)
so the keyboard cant cope. i've tried pressing two keys, example "abababababab" very fast, on the tab, nothing appear, but on sgs2 or the ipad2, the words appear instantly. i guess its hardware limitation (CPU not fast enough, or maybe inefficient software)

whatever it is, not a big deal, i'll just type slower ;-)


now, about the custom rom things, you start to scare me.
the overcome rom so buggy until you goin back to stock rom?
my wifi always on, no sleep mode, so not a prob, i never use tactile feedback also, so nevermind.

but force close issue and gallery prob is a big thing. any other small bugs?

like i said, it only lags in browser with flash or .gif content.. other apps are working fine..

everything works fine in my overcome.. only thing is that it is using stock HC launcher, not touch wiz launcher.. hence u will loose some widgets and stuff from touchwiz, but no big deal for me except for unable to resize my gallery widget.. wifi all no problem..

force close and gallery issue doesn't exist in my unit.. not till the extend that i need to revert back to stock rom.. anyway, just try out. if u dun like, then revert back to stock.. juz take u about 5 min to switch roms..

only the restoring app/data part consumes time, installing rom is very fast..

what is the price SGT 10.1 16GB 3G now? What accessories will get from SGT 10.1? TQ

was wondering, why did you restore to stock 3.1 instead of stock 3.2?

i'm still curious with your GO keyboard lag issue...
i set mine to pad (not phone mode).. if you dont like the split view, u can still get normal keyboard mode ...

i do admit, if you type alphabets that are side by side, the screen might not read it properly..maybe due to hardware issue...thus it wont come out on the screen.. but who would type this way, all the way? but if the alphabets are not close to each other, then i still dont see any lag....or maybe just a tiny little bit.. an alphabet or two behind...which is not bad for my typing speed...

on the custom rom thingy, it all depends on the user.... for me, i prefer stock 3.1 at the moment.. i have my own reasons... like i said, u need to try it yourself... worst scenario is force close...thats about it... it wont harm the hardware in anyway.... also, custom roms have a lot of version, some may not be stable, some may fly through your roof with no issue... this kinda trial n error is what makes android fun...

not sure bout other places, but i bought mine (wifi only) from digimall PJ..
i got a free casing and screen protector.. worth at least rm100 i guess...
at that time, other shop dont give out this kinda offer...all of them only says 1499 is for standard set (tab n charger only)

oh ya mtxx.. remember to look for the custom rom that suits your version only.. means if yours is wifi, then look for wifi only.. dun mix..

i bought mine wifi only for 1499, no screen protector or casing. you're so lucky la to get them. they are really worth around 100, mine is 25+60 for sp and casing.

i dont think the 3g model is worth. if you want data plan, sign with telco and get the tab for cheaper.

@abundai, there is an earphone as well, not just the tab and charger.

and thanks for the video, now i know nearby words cant be typed quickly.
hard to avoid for some words. like "start" "facebook", r&t, o&k are next to each other.
nevermind, its a small issue i need to get used to :-)

also its true that typing in browser lags alot. i tried typing in memo, words appear instantly.
i thought maybe dophin or opera can be better, but also same. sigh, got to live with it.

the text entry blunder aside, this tab is actually quite fun.

i installed back all my apps from sgs2 to my tab in a extremely simple way.
just go to android market using your laptop browser, go to the section under "my library"

there will have a history of all the apps you installed on all your devices, choose the apps you want, and choose to install to tab.
the tab will auto download if its connected to internet. super convenient. did this in my work place, and when back home, my tab already downloaded and installed all the apps and games i clicked from the market. how convenient, no need to use tab, go to market app, search one by one and download manually. haha ^^

Why after i'm back to stock rom and trying update KIES, it's said my P7500 cannot update via KIES?

bcz KIES cacat.. last time when i first bought, try to connect to kies oso susah.. then when can connect, say cannot update etc etc.. so i never bothered using KIES ever since..

Where did u get ur 7500 stock rom from? Samfirmware?
Have u unchecked usb debugging?
Or are u trying to update using wifi from the tab directly? Without connecting to pc?
