i can play other video, just any if not all video from machinima cant play
and i mostly watch machinima video on tablet

i heard tis galaxy tab 10.1 is laggy..is it true?

me to...works very well for asphalt 6 and NFS....even the others pretty game such as shadowgun and latest 1 GTA3..GTA3 really nice!!

the tablet only lags if the owner dunno how to use it..

just like u complain manual car hiccup cz u masuk wrong gear..

to be honest, yes.. only if u run livewallpaper...specially when typing in browser mode..
most of the time, u can feel the keyboard a bit laggy, specially when u type very fast (like me hehe) ...also when moving icons between homescreen also got some lag...
other than that, the apps n games runs very smooth....no worries...

solution is simple, dont use livewallpaper (except vortex galaxy- this livewallpaper is very2 smooth compared to others in the market)

u need to understand how android works, it lags doesn't mean it's bad.. iOS "looks" smooth but not necessary means it's good by its deceiving buttery UI.. what's the point of having super smooth device but does nth that u want?

on the other hand, once u understand how android works, then u can avoid lags here n there. if u r an advanced user, u can even tweak the rom or use custom roms to suit your need cz those roms are optimize to improve performance. So at the end, u get near iOS smoothness with android productivity. with the understanding of android rendering and coupled with a good custom rom and kernel, or even overclocking, the tab itself doesn't lag at all.

if u dun wan any lag in homescreen, then dun put any widget at all, just app shortcut. but it will be as plain boring as ios cz u only see apps shortcut and nth at all. then it defeats the purpose of using android cz android is all about customisation and productivity. u can take control in almost anything.

but probably you will ask, what's the fuss of doing so many things? users pay to enjoy the device out of the box, they dun wan to spend time to learn and to modify everything, esp for those who are not tech savvy, doing all these will be a massive headache for them. So for these type of ppl, they prefer iOS, much simple, easy to use, straight out of the box and enjoy their device. but for me, i dun like it at all, plain dull and boring.

hope it sums up a bit for u to decide which device suits u.

did the user in gsmarena say which part is laggy?
cos for me, the only time i feel the official rom is laggy is the one i just explained...

meanwhile, i run HD games or apps, all smooth...
(i dont hav that many background apps running, less frequent auto update - mails, weather etc)..

overall experience will improves a lot if u use custom rom, no doubt... even with livewallpaper running...
and its very easy to do.. got video guide from xda

so i cant really vouched on the official rom performance cos i only used it for less than 48hrs...
afterwhich, i flashed custom rom cos i want to upgrade to 3.2 version... official 3.2 not yet released for malaysia...

i also hav some hesitation to get this tab last time.. but once i got it, no regret at all..
its very light... making it easy to play game for long hours.. i cant imagine if i bought a heavier n bulky tab.. sure tiring to hold them...

I have the ipad 2. It has the smoothest UI does not lag at all. It is decieving as its performance is slower in browsing, email content download and is virtually hopeless trying to view you tubes. File management is terribly poor n you need to connect to of to have iTunes manage it
So don't worry about lag.

hav u tried the Samurai II THD games? walauwey... very nice..
its even better than the IOS version!!

i'm 'liking' my tab each and every day...

yea.. the reason of iOS smoothness is cz of their priority rendering for animation, hence the deceiving part of smooth UI.. it stops your background data rendering and give way to the animation to render first.. but for android, it tries to render both together.. that's y u see lag bit..

there are more awesome HD games coming to android everyday.. catching up iOS app store..

do mind that the demo set at stores SURE LAG THE SHIT OUT OF U cz used by many noob ppl and the store ppl doesn't maintain it properly.. just to let u know.. the new unit u bought will be smooth.. and if u wan smoother? get back to us and we will teach u how to install custom rom..

yup, can change back no problem.. but usually no need do so cz they wont check..

I agree with sifoo.. ipad is masking its shortcoming with smooth UI only...
and not that an IOS will never go lag on you at all.. sometime it even hangs too...
at least thats wat my ipad2 frens told me la.. cos normally frens is honest , unlike some unknown user u asked online..

yea.. my fren's iphone 4 oso lags sometimes.. typical.. even during games and exit games.. so for those ifags who are used to iOS "smoothness", once they use android they sure complain lag la slow la tis la tat la.. they fail to see the reason of it..

sure will.. the peps in xda forum will definitely work out on this.. android community is very strong and tech savvy..

can sms no problem.. and all the cool integrations of google services, which iOS 5 now wanna copy and follow..

cool..most important can sms oni..^^..wat happens if ppl called me?lol..

i seldom use sms thou.. onli receive sms from telco and only when my phone finish battery..

never tried thou.. my sim card doesn't support phone calling so if call to my number is invalid number.. broadband simcard.. if u r using normal sim i think cant get thru gua..
