Just tested an .mp4 (720p) format video, 98mB, downloaded from Youtube. Played smoothly and best of all, does not need conversion!

iTunes don't accepts Youtube's mp4 codec.

Just activate this on my galaxy tab 2... fast enough for me

for me it's smooth might due to those combo. but for sure the benchmark score was a little bit higher than before.

How to make mine like yours?

please check and follow carefully the instruction on how to install overcome ROM.

Overcome

1. you'll be updating to a newer stock ROM which is KI1. this is fully stock original, nothing more nothing less. and you keep it that way if u dont want to proceed.

2. install the modded ROM which is overcome. if I'm not mistaken this ROM has been rooted, so no need a separate root procedure.

3. download the latest 1.4GHz kernel Kernel

4. download the setcpu (software to overclock) setcpu

5. finally the memory optimizer / management the V6 supercharger V6 supercharger

be patient and follow exactly the instruction. it takes some time to master all the process, but I learned it just in a few hours. you'll love your tab so much more after this.

Just tested the ipad2 and tab 10.1.
The ipad2 more responsive compare to tab. So which one better? I ask this in ipad thread before.

Don't decide based on ui smoothness. I have both and I always say the ipad ui smoothness gives new users a false impression that it is better. In fact I must say the galaxy tab 10.1 outperform the ipad2 in many areas: browser speed, flash support, youtubes viewing ( ipad2 can say is hopeless), email content download, file management
The strength in ipad2 - gaming, podcasts sync with iTunes, multimedia Andits vast amount of apps
Other I would say not much different
So decide based on what you want the tablet to do for you
I use my ipad2 only for viewing my iTunes podcasts, audible . For the rest the galaxy tab 10.1 , mainly browsing, rss, tweeter, Facebook, emails
