Started to run firmware update since 2:30pm

Still downloading after almost 2 hrs... using Unifi

Take that long to update ?

u dload it thru KIES eh?
well....its normal i think.

dats y i prefer to flash.

The DXKH2 is about 500mb and updating from Kies will usually takes longer. Download from samfirmware and flash thru Odin is faster.

Hmm...maybe your Unifi is slow?.....Unifi works based on a shared basis....if a lot of people logged in, your Unifi speed cn be slowed down...

Btw, you can login to www.speedtest.net to check your Unifi broadband speed...

Using KIES.

The Emergency Firmware Recovery on KIES menu show update FAILED !!! Ask me to running emergency recovery.

Unplug my phone, took out the battery and restart my phone.. still working as usual and my battery is 100% now ???

Try to run the update again this friday.

I had similar error when update..

Just take out battery, on back the phone like normal, and update again.. Took less than an hour.. Using unifi..

Root will not change or delete any files. So even with a fail root nothing change. Just reboot phone in case fail. The chance you brick is 1 in a million. You must be most unlucky guy in the world if this happen . And if u brick go buy 4d, sure strike lah.

Updated mine last nite.. took about 2 hours.. using steamyx & KIES .. lucky me successful after 2nd attempt! rclxm9.gif

But trying to restore, it hang like forever.. disconnected but seem like all ok rclxub.gif

Go to xda thread on themes, there is a mod to reduce even the lowest brightness to even lower level. And don't ask me where, go search it there is. I remember in the first few pages

i think something wrong or u get dc in between.
I updated it through kies too, about 45min done. include the backup and restore process
