oh wow..hope im not too late to jump on the bandwagon, I just bought a SGS2 few days ago during raya, been in love with it ever since. Only quirks i had with this phone was the excessive battery drain when i used dolphin browser..

congratz on v13~~.. came back to home den suddenly v12 went to full from 11x page and we r on v13!.. uncle benny like just started v12 not long ago.. 
after i got my fon for 1-2 days i cannot tahan go root my fon d.. softbricked in the process and reflash den ok d.. nvr try nvr noe.. haha.. cuz i know that bricking it is difficult and even if so still can recover.. maybe soon i will flash custom rom d.. 

how do i actually properly exit and app? i read somewhere people said press back button? but if im im browsing, i'll have to keep pressing back many times

I know already as i used to get only around 6 hours for non-stop browsing. As i had said before, the main gobbler
1) browsing/streaming (as display also ON)
2) playing games (as display also ON)
3) display ON (exp. reading)
For me, as long as the scrren is ON then the battery juice will drop like water ~~ lol ~~
p/s - one of the reason to buy Galaxy Note (got much bigger battery capacity)

do note it's running on 1.4ghz and has a heck of a bigger screen, therefore eats more battery

anyway ...sorry if this is a repetitive question...but anyone noe if there is anyway to set da dns setting to the google dns which is 8.8.8.8 on a telco 3g connection?

I thought it's running at 1280x800? To be exact its roughly 3x the resolution if you count by pixel wise.

Go to mobile network > your internet connection > Proxy > 8.8.8.8
This should work.

Go one hour browsing and your battery will drop nearly 20%. Really gobble juice when browsing :-P

your signal very weak thats why drain battery alot, or just get a bigger battery

but downloading odin was really fast! had expected like 1-2hours downloading it on my 512k streamyx... see2, 5secs, habis...

normally, i just dun bother closing apps. let the os do some work. but if you must exit the apps, the i suggest you have the program manager on your home screen. then each time you press the home button to get to the home screen, exit all the apps using the program manager widget.

p/s: i just realised shizuru is female... just noticed the gender...

odin is small, just the firmware is about 250-300mb
