I guessed as much. Anyway, glad to have you on board SEA. Have always enjoyed the company of you and thw other N900 hardcores back in me Meamo days.

Anybody else defecting?

I defected with heavy heart you know...I'll still be active in N900 & N9 thread even though I don't have the device because I have soft spot for those devices.
Looking forward to bricking SGS II brows.gif

Majority of hardcore users already switched to SGS II.I think only left Andy now.

I looked high & low for the best deal for the SME 2 years warranty set.Hence the delay.Got mine for RM1.9K.Should be receiving the phone tomorrow.
Hopefully very soon because I'm using SE w580 as temp phone. After 18 months of using smartphone it's almost impossible for me to adjust life to dumbphones.Mainly due the qwerty typing.

aikz... managed to get a good price for that black brick? Still can't believe how heavy it is now... now with the added battery. A beast of weight compared to the SGSII.

I don't have my SGS II yet but already have plenty of action with my friends SGS II whistling.gif

What can I say, after years of using mobile OSes, the N900 was an eye opener. I would have prolly used it up to now too if I didn't fry mine lol (which still is, I think, one of the very few totally fubared N900).

I nearly fubared my SGS2 too (when my EFS partiton disappeared). I'm beginning to be known as the Gadget Destroyer in my circle nowadays lol.

Anyways, welcome to the Droid Army (Skynet lol?).

1.9k is quite a steal. Nice

N900 still to me the most darned flexible phone i've used.

Thanks for clearing that up man.

Guys... *deep breath*

GSM/EDGE DOES NOT SUPPORT SIMULTANEOUS DATA AND VOICE. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Go google. It either drops ACTIVE data when calls come in, or holds ACTIVE data and drops calls (depending on the mode it's running on).

E being displayed on the status bar and whatsapp running (for instance) DOES NOT MEAN IT'S DOWNLOADING/UPLOADING ALL THE TIME.

To try, download something big on EDGE. Then call yourself. Voila.

ONLY WCDMA and above (HSPA) supports simultaneous data and voice. Oh, and WIFI obviously.

As a solution to the jumping issue, try this: type *#301279# in the dialer, select HSPA revision, and select no 2. Now press on your menu button and select END. Lastly, turn flightmode on and off to refresh.

Now HSUPA is off, and it jumps less. You WILL NEVER EVER SEE H OR H+ in the status bar any more (as HSUPA - the upload part - has been turned off), but download speeds shouldn't be effected by much (HSDPA is still on), EVEN if it ONLY shows 3G.

To return to your normal config, redo the whole thing but select number 3 in HSPA revision menu. Or you can go hardcore 3G only and select 1 to turn off both HSDPA and HSUPA off.

Have fun.

Thanks Eiraku for the vital info.

Just done the *#301279#,

Now it just jumps to either 3G or E...

So it could be Network/SIM/Phone.

Network - Kinda doubt as my friend's DiGi on Iphone and HTC are really running perfect.

SIM - Will try my luck by walking into DiGi for SIM replacement.

Phone - Hope Samsung can do something.

It should not be with Hardware issue i.e Antenna right?

Any input from the experts here are really welcome.

On the KH3 modem right now. Previously, KG1/KF2/KE4 was good, try and see?

For best performance in emergency situations, hold the SGS2 upside down. Seriously, surf the anantech review for the reason.

Hi all,

One question - how to configure the call log so that I can see only unique numbers - could not find anything in the menu. I do not want to see the same number repeating again and again.

Is there any other place where I can do this. I am on stock rom.

Thanks all for the efforts put in - learning a lot.

Anyone has a solution for this? sweat.gif

Anyone using DiGi prepaid and have MMS working?

I downloaded the settings from DiGi and installed it (tried reboot already).

But still MMS won't send. It display an error message like "Currently can't download... what service not available.. blah blah blah".

Any idea?

No. I do not have any data plan, so I am afraid the background app will suck my money dry.

Do we have to turn on data for MMS?
