How to mod our phone to be able to read NTFS with the USB host? Currently only able to recognize FAT32.

Many mod I saw was on other devices. Still can't find any working mod for SGS2 @ XDA.

Experiencing scroll-lag with SpeedMod kernel (both old and new version).

Scrolling was smooth in other kernel like stock or ninphetamine (but ninphetamine cause me auto reboot).

Anyone having the same problem I had with SpeedMod?

same here...slightly a little noticeable at certain times.

Looks like I am not alone.

I think it may be the way it control the voltages and clocks.

But quite weird though, I wonder why there are still so many keep praising the kernel for it smoothness, yada yada, etc...

how do you test your scrolling smoothness?
*
One of the way I test is at the phone's setting page. When I scroll up and down it doesn't scroll smoothly as before with other kernel. Other places too, like in Watchdog running apps list. etc etc etc

Read first page. There is an app recommended to backup and restore.

I find scrolling speed more related to rom used. With either kernel there are times when you notice a slight lag. Speed mod give me better battery life. Now trying out rage mod cos it comes with the original rom I just flash.
*
According to the description from the creator of RageMod. The base of the kernel is from SpeedMod and added with feature like UV/OV, UC,OC, etc.. So my guess is the battery life and smoothness will be quite the same (if no UV/UC, etc)

Well yeah. But since the cpu control and uv for the rom I am using is build around this kernel so I am trying it out.
*
So how was your battery life before this while you were on the old ROM?

Nice photograph man thumbup.gif

Btw, guys, our Scene Mode (NONE) is not equal to AUTO in some other camera right? So basically if we want to get the best result in different scene we have to manually select them. Am I right?

Running Windows 7? Try restart your PC and plug in your device for it to run the auto-installation of the driver again.

Have you turn on data packet?

No. I do not have any data plan, so I am afraid the background app will suck my money dry.

Do we have to turn on data for MMS?

Noted. Will do some research on those app when I got home.

QUOTE(lookie @ Sep 13 2011, 03:50 PM)
install a widget that enables you to data switch on/off. switch on when you want to send or receive mms, then switch it off again. don't worry, mms wont eat into your data charges, but it is needed to send/receive.
*
Ya.. but I think what I really need to do is follow destEX advise to install those network app so that when I turn data on those app wont use my data.

Btw, just now I turned on data for a moment and the MMS is sent. Thanks!!

how to do this? cuz  i know originally it can't type chinese.

btw..anyone bought from maxis?
I'm thinking to go there tmr to get the phone. but do they usually have the stock?
*
Those are just keyboard (app).

E.g. our standard desktop keyboard cannot type Japanese (I think), so we just need to change to a Japanese keyboard. Something like that. thumbup.gif

One thing I notice about Swype (I am using 3.25 Beta) is that if you are using the English + Chinese version, even though if you are only using English (never select Chinese at all) it still consider the whole SMS to be in unicode (is this correct?) and only have 70 words at one SMS. A normal English SMS should have 160 words isn't?

How to solve this ah?
