Hi, isn't worth upgrade from Myvi SE to Alza Advanced? Need some opinion at here. tongue.gif
*
i upgraded from myvi to alza.
use 3rd row carry things only.

handling no issue for me, dun wack corners.
power wise no issue also, not into speedy drive, family use.

some ppl here driven/owned before better cars.
for me alza is quiet and ride is comfortable compared to previous cars.
some plastic noise here and there sure got lah, ~RM60k car, don' t expect too much.

Anybody uses 5w-40 Fully Synthetic oil on your Alza? How is it feel compare to viscosity 5w-30 oil that the manual recommended to use?
*
alza still under warranty so not gonna try.
but did try shell helix plus 10W-40 (semi syn) on my previous 1.3 myvi.

power wise can feel a little bit sluggish (NOTE: a little bit only) when trying to move the car from stationary.
can notice need to step more on accelerator to accelerate the car.

engine felt much quieter overall,
but very noticeable when idling.

wonder what' s viscosity toyota is using for Avanza 1.5?
if toyota is using ?W-40 then shud be no problem for alza.

Hi folks,

For anyone with steering and pedal vibrate when taking corner in rough road or hitting holes or bumps, please go to subang jaya service center.

They will install a Orifice into your steering pump outlet hose. The process is less than 40 minutes. Orifice will regulate oil flow to prevent steering rack loaded hence causing vibration.

I just got it done last saturday, surprisingly no more harsh vibration on unevent road and steering is smoother to turn.

Hope this help out.

If you need help on the plastic rattling sound, let me know. the cost of material is 60 bucks only to make it zero rattling.

Read from avanza thread that toyota sc actually used 10w-40 viscosity engine oil for avanza. Being the same engine i think should be ok to use 5w-40 engine oil. Will try it on my next service.

The orifice should arrive around 2 weeks from the day your SA placed order.

The rattling troubleshoot and patching is free. a drink will do :-). i need to make it clear, the most obvious rattling is in behind the seat area...found a solution already.

Guys,
I am curious what type of fuel did u use for your alza? I mean brand and RON?

Currently I am pumping Shell95.

I notice there's little sound like distributor between 1 - 1.4K RPM. Is this normal?

Just passed 3rd service where I changed iridium spark plug, 5W-40 semi at 11000KM.
I just installed stiffring into my subframe. Significantly reduce noise and improve handling especially when going through uneven road.

Anyone kind to share fuel type and mileage?

Yea i know, but i dont know any good shop selling those bodykit. I dont want to be a victim of an overprice seller.  Just wondering if anyone can recommend me a good shop with great price/service. smile.gif

I went to Airmaster to installed mine - RM1.5K. I have no complaint on their installation and in fact they didn't use any liner. The installation tack on to the body. Seemless.
