Hi Folks,

i just got my Alza Advance Version 3 weeks ago. so far so good, not much of an issues except some rattling issues which i managed to solve on my own half a day.

i wanna say my point here, almost any new cars, new production have rattling issue, from expensive Audi to VW or even BMW or Mercedes..all have rattling issues. Just type 'Pillar B rattling' in google search and you will be show thousand of links to many car models with rattling problem especially at pillar B.

If you wish to resolve pillar B rattling noise which P2 SC cannot resolve, please let me know so we can organize a TT session and show you all how to solve it. it is easy and cost less than 20 bucks.

There are 5 areas which causes rattling sound around pillar B.

Added on June 20, 2012, 11:29 amalso i wish to add, the steering rack issue. During the first day i got my ride, i found the streering on my ride is different from the previous batch. The rusted area found in previous batch is heavily coated with chrome in my ride. Thumbs up to P2 for upgrading the steering rack coating. :-)

Let me know when your ride start having rattling sound. It is just a matter of time. i sold many used cars over the years, from european, japanese and korean brand till local brand, all got rattling noise. very easy to solve.

overall for my ride RM70k, it is a good ride. just need a bit of time to eliminate the rattling noise at your own home less than half a day.

Also if SC cannot resolve your wind noise starting from 80kmj causes by the small front mirror, let me know too so i can help. it can be diy less than 50 bucks.

my ride have rattling sounds all-rounder... from that little black box at the trunk door to my internal dashboard... Do you have a solution for that...?

My driver side quarter window is a disaster when it comes to wind noise.... replaced twice, and even have the so-called weather strip install... still noisy... doh.gif

That spare tyre torpedo... you got solution...? brows.gif

no offense to you, but used car of course got rattling sound - they're USED, even my colleague's 6-month old Honda Insight which is supposedly CBU from Japan has rattling sound inside the dashboard.... but Alza is different... from day one already got rattling sound and it drives like a 10-year old Kenari... doh.gif

You have solution for that stupid rough steering feel on Alza...? My sis' 4-year-old bruised and battered MyVi still feels and drives better on the steering itself than my piece of junk which has been babysitting too often in P2 SC... shakehead.gif

The driver side quarter window has wind noise. almost all car manufacturer with this design have wind noise. please google VW, especially Jetta, City, Vios and so on. Yes, there are solution to it. mine only produce wind noise after 120kmj which i find it normal. Old city also have this wind noise, new honda city no longer using this sort of design anymore, now they replace that window with side mirror. This apply same toward toyota wish and caldina too. VW GTI cost almost 3 times the price of our car also have this issue.

Spare tyre torpedo, i cannot take your words granted for this matter and generalize it. unless you can produce 100 same case, then we both can bring this matter to media.

About rattling, obviously you do not understand why car components rattle and causes noise. rattling do not occur on condition such as brand new or used. they rattle due to reason. and my solution is based on my own experiences when restoring used cars to almost as close to new.

Steering wheel rough? that is very subjective to individual, smooth or rough is hard to determine base on personal expectation same like wind noise. you think you have steering wheel rough issue, you can always visit Subang Jaya Service center, just behind Summit USJ.

The thing you need to learn is how to control your emotion, study the problem and identify the root of causes. After that you can DIY or send to service center and tell them your problem. i am here to help on rattling issue. Losing your cannon and blasting without solution, it is equal to Zero conversation.

Sometimes it is good to learn from Mat salleh, they dun go bark around when other failed to help them, they find time and help them self when noone else can help them.

Teruk.. should have taken one that is before and then these are after. We should spread these like crazy until P2 does something serious for once in their life. Otherwise they seem to become another Proton after time.

Hmmm really alot of complaints from Alza owners... but as far as i know... Myvi owners quite satisfied with their ride... not as much complaints hmm.gif

Do we need to reproduce 100 spare tyre killings as well? How do we get the participants? We advertise: "Do you feel like dying today?"

Rattling, noise, etc.. won't cause death. If one day your spare tyre really do fly off, injured or killed someone, please think of the explanation and how you may convey your condolences to the victim/family.

Or we should just use the low moral way: It is --> P2's fault. I don't know anything.

For that I concur... I have owned 3 1st-gen MyVis in my household... None gave major issues like the Alza... I can't say much about the new MyVi since I don't own one...

hahhahahaha funny. after working for close to 20years, i learnt that my job is duly to solve problem, almost all job description in the market is about solving problem or needs. and i guess it was my job that help me to become more DIY and a problem solving person.

tyre issue, so far how many cases involving tyre fly out? 2? 3? how many alza already on the road vs tyre fly out? in any studies to make decision, any industries need statistic. i checked mine in service center while the technician applying rust prove to my underneath carriage, the rod that holding the tyre is very strong and thick. bolt and nut still tight after riding it for 3 weeks. so far so good, let see how it goes after 1 year :-).

perhaps you've gotten a better batch after all our complaints were put to good use by P2... like you said, maybe I got myself a bloody dud... but I stand by my case... It's the worse car money can buy, and I will keep telling ppl who wanna buy Alza, DO NOT BUY PERODUA ALZA...! ENDLESS QUALITY ISSUES...! I have wasted 64k cash buying this piece of junk, and enough is enough...

btw, maybe you should work in P2, then you can apply your patience and DIY skills there and try solving all of our problems... tongue.gif

Let me share with you all my experiences here. During first day i got my ride, it is a Alza Advance Edition. The following are my problem.

1. underneath carriage rust prove very bad
2. front bonet senget, causing gap not even on left and right
3. back bonet senget, causing gap not even on left and right
4. steering back cover loose, got sound when tab with fingers
5. right front panel not align with door panel, ugly gap
6. back seat 3rd row noisy, cause left side latch cannot lock properly
7. front driver seat got noise
8. pillar B got noise and door panel noise.

I shoot up an email to P2 HQ next day, they called me within 1 hour after my email. direct me to the new Subang Jaya spare part and panel service center.

upon reaching the service center, i was amazed with the factory, they got few section, spare part section, general service section, problem troubleshoot section, body panel section, painting section.

Less than 5 hour, issue 1 till issue 7, all solved except for issue 8 cause i ran out of time, and i resolve all the rattling issue my self on the third day.

Please try the new Subang Service center behind summit USJ,they got everything under 1 roof. With proper diplomatic skills and peoples handling skills, things can be sorted out very efficiantly.

now i am so happy with my new ride and all problem sorted within 2 days, i gave my baby a complete professional polishing, and permanon coating cost me 400++ and 5 hours polishing job. :-)

i had shared my way to solve the wind noise from the small window with P2 technician, they write it down and will present it to HQ. it will take some times.

My way to solve the wind noise from small window is base on how one of my friend solve his Golf GTI wind noise issue. all you need is thick layer of glass tinting film, using foldover wrapping method, and compress screen into frame using hot glue. walaa! problem solved within 2 hours.

I'm surprised they refer you to a dealer SC when every time I write to them regardless online, or snail mail to their HQ, they refer me to Rawang SC. The only time I was referred to a dealer was when the referral came from DMM Sales.

I'm sick and tired of the problems kept recurring...

I mentioned the spare tyre not because I want P2 to be better, but because I want users to be careful. But seriously I don't really comprehend the point you want to get across. You are almost saying to the lady who nearly got kidnapped at The Curve, "Hey, do you know how many ppl frequent this place each week? You are just ONE who got into trouble". Or you want the police to say "Come on, it only happened ONCE in your XX years of age".

Like me, she is not asking for the management to put police all over the place, or some type of super tight security all over the car park, like what you'll find inside a bank. We are telling what actually happened. And somethings need only happen once and it is devastating to the victim.

This is not something that would not cause injuries like noise or rattling. This is serious even if it happens only once.

this is a very bad anology or example to use. almost not coherent at all. so far, what i can say about the rod holder is...it is very solid and thick.

i would like to add in a incoherent statement, let say..why not the stupid premium model come with back camera? it is just a matter of time some infant or children get crush while reversing? it happend right? why not the car come with fire extinguisher? car do set on fire...why not all bumper made of absorber bumper like nissan did back in old days? so the bumper can absorb some impact before crumpler up?

if backup wheel can fly off, so same with the 4 wheel attaching to your car, lower arm can break, wheel can fly too.

i am here to help on rattling issues untill someone raise no relevant issues for what i am trying to help. seems like none relevant questions are raised to vent immature frustration like i am your p2 technician.

went for my 2nd last service today, its been 2.5 years owning the crap. did brake service today, technician told me I've burnt my brake pads 10,000km and half a year later, which is 1 service interval. I opted for the cheaper pads they provide with the cost of RM15x because the ori Japan RM3xx pads emit way too much dust and too expensive. I even skimmed my rotors, and today, after technician smells the pads and another one tested my car, its confirmed. burnt pads, and rotors with grooves. all caused by the ori parts they provide. since its my 2nd last service, thought of complaining to get a new set changed. the RM15x pads are total crap, lack of stopping power since day 1, hence the heavier foot to stop the car, the heavier you brake, they call it over/hard braking, which burnt the pads. not quite happy after the service, seeking a channel to get p2 attention to have my complete brake set changed.
