QUOTE(pandah @ Oct 16 2011, 01:56 PM)
hello fellow n55 owner, i would like to ask, do you found any major problem with n55 until now?

i went to lowyat and the price is rm2699 with upgrade to  8gb ram, by mtcs group, comes with some gift but i think only the ram is important.
since the graphic card is a weaker version of gt555m, do you encounter any problem when gaming?

1) That's because the speaker quality is good and loud audio reproduction and caused the vibration between the grill and the case.

He mentioned "the right side of trackpad"
Could it be the disc drive or the HDD?

Infact, I got my first batch N45 for Rm 2650 @ CZone Digital Mall

Question: Sometimes when I go to shut down my laptop, it will prompt me with this:

"Please do not power off or unplug your machine, installing update"

I can never tell when this is going to happen. Don't mind it when I'm at home but if I am outside and need to rush off somewhere or have almost no power left, this is a pain in the butt. What can I do about it? Why does it not prompt me for an update when I am in Windows? What are these updates anyway? Are they necessary?

Thanks, looking forward to some answers.

It is basically like an OS update that keeps the features up-to-date. Correct me if Im wrong
I have experienced that situation before. I was literally rushing and boom, it shuts down with 2% stuck-for-15 minutes. sweat.gif Unfortunately, I had to hold the power button for an emergency shut down

Hmm isn't it possible to choose to do them at another time??? They come in the most untimely fashion, and it takes a while to finish.

The computer has essentially exited Windows already and goes to that blue screen just before shutdown, and that is when the update happens. Sometimes it's installing 1 of 1 updates, but sometimes it could be 1 of 12 updates. Gahhh!!!

Sooo there is no way around this?
