After jumping from glossy to Matte type of screen, I can tell you how bad glossy screen is laugh.gif

Prone to reflections/glare, always seeing yourself when using the monitor laugh.gif laugh.gif doh.gif

p/s: I'd go for the matte U2312HM if I were you lol

I m using 27' matte monitor for working. My eye more relax and can work longer hour. But the color and text abit dull.

While using 27' glossy monitor at home. Reflection when dark screen and eye abit stress. But color and text are more vibrant and clear.

Got pro and con.

its hard to know what best fit you unless u can see the differences:)

Just to share....just bought a LG E2422 (TN panel, glossy)...vs my AOC IPS(non-glossy i think)...what can i say..glossy sucks....the dark screen keeps reflecting and when you move to various angles, the screen keeps changing colour......now i appreciate my IPS even more...tongue.gif..

Anyway, the LG monitor only for my 7 year old kid to use on his PC...ok lar...play simple games only most of the time...

my personal suggestion, if you really into IPS..

either U2312HM or U2412M.

U2312HM within your budget range @ maybe around 560~ 590 depends your source

or fork abit higher , pain in the butt for some ppl like me

U2412M @ around 860~ 890 (FOC Razor keyboard worth RM 169) but future prove for next 2 ~ 3 years.

Im skipping pages... so forgive me if im asking what people asking before.

Which is better ???

1 BIG LCD MONITOR ( 27 inch above )

OR

2 NOT SO BIG LCD MONITOR ( 22/23 inch )

Im asking only for LCD MONITOR. So not TV MONITOR.

Your preference? If you're sitting further than 3' (feet) then 27" is much better choice (1080p).
If you're on a desk and under 2' viewing distance then 23".

if you call them, you can negotiate until the price becomes rm 800.00++ and of course without free gifts. all retailers even dell themselves will displayed the starting price 899.00

thats why you need to ask them.
