Thanks unleashed.
It not so clear did the DP carried audio or not. Seems like have. I have a dell U2711 lcd with connected using dvi which the manual suggest have a better performance. I like to use the audio jet at the monitor. But not sure the DP got carried audio or not. And the GC in the pc got 1xDVI and 2xDP connector. Do the GC DP connector got audio too? |

I m not sure. The LCD manual write, for better performance use the dvi.
But will display port have a better performance than DVI? |

QUOTE(keaizer @ Oct 29 2011, 11:23 PM) 800 for U3011? not 300 meh If money permitted, get the apple display. Less heat as the back light is led. The color and contrast more gentle to eye.i also planning to upgrade my monitor..currently using dell 24inch...3 years edi but still working very well.. so between Dell U2711 and Apple Thunderbolt Display (27-inch)..which one u guys prefer? |

QUOTE(clivengu @ May 31 2012, 08:42 PM) Im looking for a 27" monitor... prefer IPS as I am dealing with graphics and video 3d stuff. What's wrong with antiglare? I m using this monitor. So far so good. Use mostly for 3d cad.Been targeting on the Dell U2711, but heard a lot of complain about its Antiglare coating.. There is no way to see the monitor myself... so I cant judge how serious this is.. Reviews on internet are good (but they did not touch the antiglare issue) but yet i found a lot of user complaining about it. Any user experience here? mind to share... or can recommend other better alternative 27" screen. |

QUOTE(clivengu @ May 31 2012, 09:30 PM) Heard some says it make text and thin line look fussy...white look dirty. I prefer antiglare compare to mirror gloss imac. But wonder is the antiglare actually an issue. how is your review on this? Thanks! Will love to get this as my birthday gift next month.. but I hope with no regret. The antiglare is ok. Since my working area have many fluorescent light. The antiglare work perfect. I have to reduce the white (contrast) as it too bright. The only problem is, the radiation is abit hot. Feel like sauna in front to the monitor. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jul 11 2012, 09:36 PM) After jumping from glossy to Matte type of screen, I can tell you how bad glossy screen is I m using 27' matte monitor for working. My eye more relax and can work longer hour. But the color and text abit dull.Prone to reflections/glare, always seeing yourself when using the monitor p/s: I'd go for the matte U2312HM if I were you lol While using 27' glossy monitor at home. Reflection when dark screen and eye abit stress. But color and text are more vibrant and clear. Got pro and con. |
