Huh? Mine is U2412HM with 16:10 native resolution..  hmm.gif

Not sure about that, just found out from Googling around..

U2412M = 16:10 (The one I'm using now)
U2412HM = 16:9 (Saw from various forums, but still can't find an official link to the item @ Dell's website)

laugh.gif Maybe they're importing the U2412HM and sell it. Who knows, haha. tongue.gif

But the only reason I went for U2412M instead of U2312HM is really, the 16:10 with extra 120 pixels.. sounds funny but worth it I guess laugh.gif

As for the HDMI, no idea if they trolling or serious; or just mistake... I'm kinda sure U2312HM has DP instead of HDMI port.. rclxub.gif

Maybe.. hahaha..
Same reason I go for U2412M and another reason is same resolution as my MBP tongue.gif
Both model only come with DP except the older generation of U2411 come with HDMI

the price drop offer is good, but remember newer LG panel LG’s IPS234V will be available in all LG retail outlets in Malaysia on early June onwards at the recommended retail price of RM537.

it's alreadly on sale.

wait for dell release their ultrasharp monitor with this newer LG panel.

Good day,

About to buy Dell U2711 27" LCD to used it as main monitor to avoid extensive used and small screen from my Dell Latitude E6410 14" Notebook which using build in graphic card on chipset Intel GMA HD.

What i worry is whether my notebook will display nicely and utilise the screen resolution of this 27".

The LCD having resolution 2560 x 1440, but i'm not sure my notebook build in graphic card (Intel GMA HD) will support it.

please look back at your model, again. if it is U2412 with H and M, it is successor of U2410, still the same resolution, the thing that changed is only the backlight, from ccfl to led.

it is depend what kind of display port that you will use and what are available on your notebook, eg: vga/dsub, dvi, hdmi or DisplayPort. if power consumption is not an issue, so why not getting larger lcd and large resolution? before grabbing u2412m which is 24", i want to get that U2711 and the monster U3011 but its power consumption are rclxub.gif and it still using ccfl backlight, not led. so i took u2412m. never regret until now.

last time i checked, dvi & hdmi only can shoot max 1920x1200 16:10 while rgb/vga/dsub can shoot max 2048x1536 4:3.
with your monitor max resolution 2560x1440 16:9, you need displayport (DP) to get that max resolution.

It seems like Thunder Match had removed the offer of U2312HM and U2412M/HM>
My guess is there is typo and it should be U2312HM and U2412M.
