watching how man city destroy tottenham and how their players interchange position with dzeko as targetman.Liverpool looks like a cheaper version of them.lol

wonder why I liked Poulsen .. is he really that lousy ?
*
i would say he is over the hill.. don't get me wrong.. he was an excellent player back then.. the keyword here is back then..

right now he is more of a deadwood and an expensive player to have playing for the reserves.. with him leaving, and hopefully cole and degen to follow, we could free up the wage bill and get players who will help us improve the squad.. brows.gif

i feel like most of the members in Liverpool malaysian groups in FB sounds like gloryhunters...kept on cursing meireles...i wish they can think like Duke and others..their comments made me reluctant to join the discussion..
*
Bro each one have their own opinion. doesn't meant that by cursing or getting angry at meireles for leaving the club makes them a glory hunter. I myself m not happy at meireles leaving because he is one of my fav players in liverpool and even worst he ended up at chelski.. i agree some could be glory hunters, but some could be just frustrated that their fav player have left the club by handing in a transfer request..

Mate you've just made me feel incredibly proud. I think everyone should follow your example. I shudder to think that a time will come where younger fans forget about him altogether. If there is one thing Liverpool fans never do, it's forget.  It's like I've been saying all this while, information is so easy to access and if you are to call yourself a proper Liverpool fan, you simply must read about Shankly. There is a reason why fans today still talk about him all the time. I dare say you'll never come across another football manager with similar stories. There is a darn good reason we put a statue of him in front of Anfield. Wasn't just for decorations sake.

Here's someone who along with Bob Paisley, literally repainted the training ground themselves whilst we were still struggling in Division 2. Here is a man who even after he retired returned to Anfield as a fan and guess what? On one occasion, he didn't even sit in the VIP box which he could. Can't remember who we were playing but suddenly chants of Shankly emanated from the crowd and low and behold, the great man was standing amongst the fans. When asked why he would do that he replied, "this is where I belong". Legend! We are what we are today because of this great man.

i just gave meireles transfer as an example..instead of becoming a good discussion it became a bashing session..we are all frustrated but it's better to voice out in a more positive way..just my 2 cents smile.gif

I have a question. Will Gerrard be able to fit in to a team that is playing so well together?
*
LOL i just wanted to ask a similar question about stevie G. anyways,

if Gerrard two seasons ago can return, hungry to win and injury free. then, no doubt he will be able to fit in the team. the current team is no doubt playing much much better than last season, but they still lack the "icing on top". Maybe the icing will come around when the team gels together, but to me, feels like something is missing. if gerrard can return, i daresay we can keep up with the top teams until the end of the league.

yes, adam and hendo are really contributing to the team. But still somehow when some one is needed to step up the game, we still look for stevie G (imho).

HOWEVER, he shouldn't be allowed to stroll into the team. By making him work for his place, would no doubt encourage the whole team to work harder because 1. they wouldnt wanna loose their spot and 2. seeing their leader work his pants off might just spark their spirits as well flex.gif

I think Jones call up for senior England might be due to the fact that defensive area is quite thin in the squad. Pliz correct me. But in midfield I think the squad has so many options.
I watched he played against Azerbaijan and quite impressed with his performance. Lets just say he continued where he left off in the Bolton game. Lets see how he does against Israel tonite.

correct me if i'm wrong but i think he is rested for the Israel game..

LMAO. But really, I still miss him. He'll forever be a part of Liverpool legend. At least for me...
*
i idolized him back when he was at Liverpool. but well, he left. in my opinion, he is a great player, but to brand him "Legend" is slightly overdoing it. YES he was a good player in Liverpool, but never a legend..
