Damn damn no news today. Hope for next Monday. They really need to release SOL before July.

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 2 2014, 03:33 PM) do you have any accurate recollections?because I really can't afford for there to be no news before July. If I don't hear anything a few days before the first I will need to apply and stay here if we find out more than a few days before then I can maybe take a holiday |

QUOTE(Nemesis1980 @ Jun 3 2014, 02:28 PM) Which city you're locating to? Ozzie employer willing to employ you means that you've got something they need which they can't find locally. Congrates on that! I'm happy, yes. Moving to Sydney (where 99% of these jobs are).On that second part, actually I would consider myself equal. You can never tell with graduates. I've seen some who weren't outstanding (but didn't do poorly) still find work really easily. Virtually no employer will sponsor a grad in my field - there is just no need. Hopefully I won't need it either, and if I do down the line hopefully I can get it. QUOTE(Nemesis1980 @ Jun 3 2014, 02:39 PM) Working extra mean more $$. Employer has to pay you but depends how's your package. Please make sure your salary excludes super so that employer will pay for you. I don't mean extra, but the total hours in general. I think in my field nobody pays for OT. Package always includes super as far as I can tell. However, enjoy the working lifestyle and sunshine here. You'll love it. |

QUOTE(Nemesis1980 @ Jun 3 2014, 04:47 PM) Anyway, always based on your budget and the area you work. As long earn money, later transfer into PR then get your butt on buying property there. Thanks for sharing! Perth and Sydney is totally different world! More happening in sydney and plenty of new things you'll experience there. Just enjoy! |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 3 2014, 05:10 PM) you can refer here for the flagged occupations quite paranoidhttp://www.awpa.gov.au/our-work/labour-mar...ccupations.aspx bear in mind that they may or may not remove the occupations from SOL based on that list i know my occupation has been on the list for a few years now, maybe close to 10 years at least but as long as it's there it could have a chance of being taken out, no matter how small |

QUOTE(empire23 @ Jun 4 2014, 08:11 PM) Either way I don't think the list will come out next week. Queen's Birthday and all. it's just another holidayMaybe the 16th? kind of late for a Friday update ppl were saying skill select is updated on the 8th... so maybe next week 16th is still good but would be nice to do away with all this uncertainty |

IELTS is hard to call. I did Academic in Msia and General in Oz. My scores pretty much reversed themselves, in a good way. Didn't need to practice.
Try TOEFL when it is approved. |

QUOTE(empire23 @ Jun 11 2014, 03:27 PM) Depends on what kind of error. If it is a loading error they'll tell you to try another browsers or PC. QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 11 2014, 03:34 PM) Thanks for replying guys. It's not a browser error as I tried in IE and Chrome, and it had worked in Chrome before. This is the error... basically I can only get to 20% of the application for a 485, then this message comes up and it won't go further. Before last Friday I had been able to get to 100%. The following errors have been encountered: 1. Departmental systems indicate that you are unable to make an application for this visa online. Messages: 2. The Department has ceased accepting applications from applicants for Subclass 175, Subclass 176, Subclass 475, Subclass 885, Subclass 886, Subclass 487 and Subclass 487R visas.
