Using the fat version,..
Normally will reset>eject>change disc>eject (for it to go in)>reset

There's no restart button, theoratically there is but the name of the button is RESET..

if u restart>eject>change disc>eject aready no need to press the reset button again ma...cuz is already in menu when u press the eject(the tray back in)the game will auto start.

hmm..really? i didn t know that...
i dont think it works for my PS2 though.. its kinda old SCPH 30002
and its PAL version not NTSC sighz

my method of changing game^^

1)hold the reset button(goes into standby)
2)press the eject button (the tray will eject and console turns on as well)
3)insert disc,press the reset button (tray goes in automatically and the game should start)

mine is SCPH-39001....dunno slim line got difference or not
btw...how do you identify your mod chip?

Me when changin game mthod is(Fat version)

1)Eject Disc Tray
2)Take Out the previous DVD game
3)Put in the other DVD game
4)Press the Eject disc tray button again so that the disc tray will close
5)Then Press Reset button for 1 sec
6)Done

But it seem my PS2 loading speed is getting slower.....I also wonder my changin method is wrong or right,i just follow the PS2 guide/instruction book.

My friend Changin game method is(Fat version)

But my friend PS2 seem to more worst then me,alot of games must reset alot of times only can play...(Worst then me)

you can't compare your frens and yours.. both different model. and maybe both different modchip..

if you want fast.. you compare scph-30xx and scph-50x..

then you see which is faster..

i just bought ps2 slim...any idea for make me play longer...i'm afraid because there is no single fan in differ to ps2 normal

i just bought God of War and it hasnt been able to boot up on my PS2.
everytime i reset, it just goes to the normal browser screen.
whats wrong?

there is a fan on the slim version
it is on the chip and it is blowing out thru the rear, near the power/display plugs

like what mcchin said. it does have a fan inside the ps2 slim. but if you want to make a little bit more cooler. you can try purchase a mini usb coolign fan.. (helps a little... just little of cooling )

which version you bought ? v12 or v14?

hard to said.. this happens mostly on the game disc. but I can some are true if the games kept on hanging... the lens or motherboard might be the problem.

how about other games you play ? is it all ok ? god of war have 3 different batch on the market.. (you don't need to tell me is "those" ) the first one is without the fix. (some model doens't boot ) second batch they come with two disc.. (taken from bradygames dvd and make it 2 disc "special edition" the 3rd batch seems to be ok now. (yes all extra footage is still remove).

just try another disc and check it out if it works.. or you got a fren have a ps2. just check out your fren ps2 using your God Of War Disc.

so which way to "change games" is recomended?

anyway should be no problem. just that you don't go like. put games. then press 10 times reset.. 10 times eject la..

use the usual way..

put games.
reset..

finish.

so if i press reset(will go to menu),press eject(tray out),change game,then press eject(tray in) the game start...

no problem one. but don't play too long.. scph-50x got weak la chip. sooner or later you goign to replace it.

i can play all my other games. it's only this particular disc which my ps2 is unable to read.
i do know that its the Platinum Edition but dunno if that really helps.
well anyway i will try on my friends PS2 and see how it goes.

oh and btw...i bought my PS2 in malaysia and the game from australia. but i dont think thats the problem because i can play all the other games bought from australia.

maximum i will play about 4 or 5 hours like tat onli...
is it too long?
