QUOTE(azzurohyperion @ Mar 13 2009, 03:54 PM) Hello everyone, I'm new here. Was looking for a solution to my PS2 problem when my friend suggest that I post my issue here. exactly same like my ps2! God, it happen with my FES 3 and 4 too... somebody help US!My PS2 is the slim version, about 4-5 years old. It doesn't have any problem before this but until last month. a) My friend was playing FFX International version when the game suddenly stuck just before the CG scene (the scene after you beat Sanctuary Keeper before entering Zanarkand). Map's gone, can't open menu, can't talk to other characters, can't do anything except walking around. I thought it was the disc problem so I bought another new disc, same version and it solved the problem. However, few days later, same problem occured again and this time at another CG scene (the airship scene after beating Yunalesca). b) When I load Persona 3 FES the first time, I can watch the opening movie but after that, the console no longer load it... the screen goes blank. I have to press X multiple times to go into the main menu. c) It plays Persona 4 smoothly for few days, then suddenly cannot load the disc at all. No disc error/red screen appeared though. I tried to load DVD/CD disc and it worked, so I think it might not be the lens problem? Anyone know what's wrong with it? I'm thinking to bring it to the shop for diagnose... Jason |

Mine is also with Persona 4! But totally different problem. My friends PS2 is a couple of years old. At first it loaded just fine, but then when I was just about to get started on playing it the PS2 suddenly just turns itself off.
Now it can't be turned on anymore! The power button turns green when I press it for 1 second and it goes back to red. Even without any CDs it just won't turn on anymore! It's a weird problem. I've seen and solved many PS2 problems but this is one I've not seen before. Any ideas? It's the Slim PS2 if it makes a difference. I have not actually opened the PS2 yet as I don't have a screw driver with me now. Ish, I just wanted to play my second playthrough, now the dman PS2 is dead. |

Oh wow! After seeing those words I dare not to put the newly bought persona 4 into my ps2 anymore! Guess maybe they have include some steps to check and kill the machine if modchip is detected, sorta.

But seriously, it's quite a coincident that so many cases with persona4. It's an awesome game. |

QUOTE(azzurohyperion @ Mar 20 2009, 01:31 PM) No, no. He said that cause there are 3 cases that somehow relate to Persona4 written nearly back to back.Well, I've split open my friends PS2 to find the core of the problem, but can't seem to find the cure. It's sad, but I guess it's to the workshop this time. (I think god is asking me to study instead of playing persona until 6 in the morning everyday.) |

QUOTE(hypermount @ Mar 15 2009, 07:31 PM) hii hi follow these steps make iso of the dvd, use usbutil prgram to copy the iso to the flash drive as it is the only way to make it into the ul format as you cannot use the usbextreme supplied program to do so then run the usbextreme and it will recognise the game. mind you usbextreme compatibility is way inferior to hdloader . cheerios |
