its hard to get a fat PS2 lens nowadays, if got second hand one, that will last around 2 months. Better you guy a new ps2 slim

hi guys....
i don't know if there's other ppl faced the same problm as me but y my ps2 can't read certain games?and also when i load certain cd's it says 'please insert PS2 format cd'....
bought lots of games recently but only can play a few......very frustrated...
(sori la kalau dh ada org lain tanya soalan ni but really need help frm u guys!)

Either the lens needs tuning or u are using the old ModChip...

because i dun find anything like that on my ps2..

i just open the disc tray(ps2 slim)..dun find anything like that..or is it must open other thing?

is there any different between connecting ps3 to dvi port and connecting directly to hdmi port of a LCD monitor ??

I bought a ps2 console at year 2002 , around there , should be the 1st version ( should b the 30006 driver )..
and lately i bought " Dirge of Cerberus : FF7 " and " Yu-Gi-Oh GX "

The Problem :
i tried to play DOC:FF7 with my console , after the word Playstation 2 appear , it start to black screen all the way , and nothing will appear ..
i tried it with my friend's console and his console can run the Dvd ..
The yu-gi-oh can run smoothly with my console though ..

Solution Question :
Lets say it is the chip problem , how much does it cost ??

but now the issue is that, the screen hangs at playstation black screen, and i am not able to see the "ROM" folder created.

inside the ROM folder are all the *zip files...

Bro, I guess my problem also the same, the gold ribbon replace by the shop too long, tried to tekan many times but still calar..... Probably I tekan too much now the ps 2 can only read ps1 games....

Know of anyone that can repair this set without being conned? I did ask around and they said need to change lens and ribbon. RM 130...

I just need to change ribbon. Anyone that you can recommend?

is it the 9 series graphic better? blur blur......

graphic is all the same.
only different is,

1. 90000 series, inside got build in fan
2. 90000 series, direct power core, no need any adaptor

yes and no... yes, SCPH-9000x are the latest series. no, the 'x' is just the region code, not the versioning or whatsoever

Do u know how to connect Ps2 using the S-cable on Tv?

my ps2 slim sometimes unable to play and dvd games, but most of time while playing, the game stop without any warning.

i assume this got to do with the lens problem. i just bought it last year.i just want how much is it the price if we need to change the lens?
