it's depend what modchip you install, but mostly when it's modded it's regional free(you can play all region)

if you still can't play dvd ,go back to the shop where you buy your ps2 ask them .if they said it's normal slap his face.

ah.. HD Loader is software.. at 1st i thought is hardware..
btw, how much is Network Adapter for PS2 now???

I really give up of try DVDR . Now, order Mitsubishi DVDRW to try. Don't know how it works.

I asked PS2 seller about this. He told me my PS2 was modded one and no need to change to other modchipset. Also, he said the latest modchipset wouldn't help to read DVDR.

But, many say they successfully play DVDR copied PS2 game without having problem.

Its true like that? I think its not. If its not ur lens then its ur modchip. I assume ur lens is allright...u still can play other game that u bought?

I use Mitsubishi DVD-R to burned copied game. I used it for a while till i found the site that give a guide on DVD-R quality. And that Mitsubishi is in 1st class media so i stick to it.

work_tgr you using dvd-r or dvd+r ?
for your info 4 me vertim brand is the best brand for ps2.
some modchip cannot read dvd-r & dvd+r .
if you want modchip that can read dvd-r & dvd+r PM ekai he selling matrix infinity (ori chip one of the best modchip)
you need to burn not more than 4x speed.btw do you know what chip installed on your ps2?? don't use dvdrw is not good ,it can short your lens life.
i think you go and slap that ps2 seller (he lies).

I can play those ps2 game, bough from market and can watching DVD movie disk smoothly. Lens is alright. I am thinking of the modchip. should be the modchip problem.

I had try both "-" and "+" , burning using Nero 7 / DVD Decrypter with 4x speed. Three brand dvdr tested : Dvision "+" & Melody "+" - both cheap disc but complete burned smoothly. Third brand tested, maxell "-" , complete burned smoothly. All three brand don't supported by my ps2.

So I decided to try BRANDED DVDR. I will start with Mitsubishi ( 1st class). If still not working, then I confirm it's modchip problem.

I am not sure what modchip inside PS2. I asked to upgrade modchip,but the seller told me that it's only small difference if changing modchip ( matrix infinity , for example). Dunno, I am not sure about this.

But, I don't think PS2 seller want to cheat me. ( how come he don't want business ??) ...

the seller only sell ps2 for mod the ps2 they sent to modchip installer .google matrix infinity & go to their web site you can
see for your self .think 4 sec why modchip maker want to make modchip that can't read dvdr?? everyone want to play their backup games this days .if u want clone chip & can ask djinn he have shop.try pm him ok

a bit confused here.
I only want to play PS2 with DVDR.
Now, the problem mostly because of the modchip.
Just recommend a good one ( no problem to run DVDR).
