its FAT, nope didnt do anything.. just one day it HAPPENED!

there are a lot of things can be happens.. It's could be a wire loose from modchip and touching other points or maybe your fuses is blown.. what u must to do is open your ps2 and check it out and you will find a solutions...

is there matrix infinity for phat ps2? my ps2 can't load some of the new games already. keep showing the 'please insert ps1 or ps2 disc' message

any ideas?

hi..i wanna ask...my ps2 fat type...it cant run any game or movie dvd..why?it just can appear the blue animation screen n can view memory card only..but when insert dvd game n reset..the game not running..i on & off many time n reset many time already..pls tell me...if the spinning engine broken...its there can i buy spare part?or just buy new ps2?

Sorry to say that your lens might be DEAD. You need to replace it and bear in mind as there's no such thing as new lenses for fat PS2. All of them are refurbished. The price of the lens is around RM250 - RM300.

u mean no lens spare part for fat ps2? so where can i get one?if around RM300 its ok..over 500 maybe i wont...sad...u know where can i get one new lens?

i just wannna ask.....my slim ps2 cannot play DVD movie and cd audio...when i insert the disk, it will detect the disk but it cannot read it, then the "please insert ps or ps2 disk" will appear???...why haa??

is it the modchip or the lens??or the ps2 itself prob??

btw try play audio cd if can u still in luck ,u can use hdloader if u have network adaptor (search this forum for more info)

for your info some modchip you need to press reset button for few sec to play dvd movie .

yes...it can play game....can u explain step by step??isn't if u press the reset button it will shutdown???

1) insert dvd movie
2) hold reset button few sec till ps2
3)after it's shutdown press again for few sec
4)release reset button
this method work on my ps2 it's depend what chip you using
i don't now what modchip that been installed to your ps2 but you can try this method.
