Need help here...My newly bought PS2 hardly play GT4 which is dvd9 game (it played nicely on my frens console). I mean hardly play is I reset the console 10+ times, it only read it 1-2 times onli.

The condition to make it read is to cool down the console 1st...eg like rest for 2 hours after play or play it in the 1st time in the day. The chances for it to play is very low.... and i tried DVD9 movies as well, it cant play at all....i heard the lens working hard to read it...my console is 70006 btw...

Anyone know why and how to solve it?

It happens to DVD9 games onli....DVD5 plays beautifully....why ler?

Theres no video output from my PS2, donno what happened. Every time I turn on the console  theres a flicker on screen for a sec, then the screen is blank (black) and thats it. No sound, No video. Can anyone help me out here???

a bit confused here.
I only want to play PS2 with DVDR.
Now, the problem mostly because of the modchip.
Just recommend a good one ( no problem to run DVDR).

Err heve prob here..PS2 slim cannot on..just bought it at sungei wang plaza on june this year and the prob come on september..but that time i was bz so just keep it first. Then last week i sent it to shop arround my area to repair but they said not worth to repair coz it will be expensive. Maybe rm500 like that..i dont remember what is it..sumthing like chip or what..and they said my ps2 is recond set, external looks new but inside is the old one...err what shud i do?

is it possible loading launchelf using only ps2 mem card? someone mentioned abt it in this forum...

i already send for service...and cost about RM80
but the problem still unsolved
then i send for 2nd time to the best shop in subang
that shop told me...my ps2 got no problem
the lens look ok
but how come still got crashed?
the weird thing always happen even play games nor watching dvd
after crash..then i go restart
sometime cannot boot...only the black screen appear and no sound
but then..i try to turn off the console...but still cannot boot

is there and best shop to send for repair
i already send 2 times here
they said no prob..my lens all ok
so...wire to modchip maybe is loose?
is it the reason to make the system crash?

My ps2 suddenly dead,the green light is on and the fan is running.But the eject light (blue) is off and that is no pictures on my tv. Whenever i pressed the eject button, no light and not working. What happen to my ps2? Hope it is not len problem.    Anyone has this kind of problem before?

Your modchip already kong
since you can Play Original Music CD ,DVD movie & demo disc.
my advice is PM eKai & install original modchip

Recently i bought PS2 (slim) at one place, and after 2 month it quit working to play all the games (pasar malam) and DVD (also pasar malam) . It can only play Audio CD. 

Can anyone of you PS2 guru's help me? i long to play all the games i love. what was wrong with my PS2? is it 'kong'?

sound like your modchip is very old or your lens is weakening .
some old modchip can't read dvd9 (dual layer )
btw what is your ps2 version scph XXXXX  see at back of your ps2 .
