Yesterday I got a case study on why stealth champions look so OP in Normal games.

I played Sona, went bottom lane with AD carry. Zoned out the enemy champions and let my carry take ALL the CS. Problem starts after level 6 when stealth champs start ganking like the farmhouse is on fire. So I call oracles, but what do people do under these circumstances :

1) Buy oracles, stick and try to gank
2) Not buy oracles, stick and try to gank
3) Ignore request, lane and jungle alone. Walk alone.

It's shocking. Support Sona is a poor choice to buy Oracles because she's gold starved and already getting wards. But got it anyway, which makes squishy Sona an even bigger target in team fights. Assassins dive right in and everyone is too focused on beating on the enemy tank.

Didn't end well. But yeah, that's the whole reason stealth looks OP in Normal games.

Two weeks of wukong hell. Watch your teammate instalock the monkey, buy dorans blade, try to duo bot, use E to initiate a trade which of course fails because he jumped so far ahead, eat a bunch of harass, stuck at 20% hp, doesn't want to back...

My Sona build incorporates a Philo Stone first and then a Heart of Gold. Otherwise without that gold income she just drops off mid game. I start the game with the Health Regen component of the Philo Stone as I'm aggressive from level 1 to zone out the opponents. The health regen enables me to commit all my mana to harassment. My lane mate shouldn't get hit, and even if he does I have the Heal summoner spell.

That is why we have pubstomper champs, because some champions are good at exploiting the lack of teamwork in the enemy's side.

There's no reason to play Leona now....hate Riot for this, because Leona V2 just arrived.

Nautilus. Has everything Leona has, and does it better. Side by side comparison :

Passive :
Staggering Blow vs Sunlight

First attack stuns and deals extra damage versus a debuff that can only be triggered by allies for damage, and is applied by spells, not auto attacks. The stun wins it, the auto attack application makes it an epic win.

Winner : Nautilus.

Dredge Line vs Zenith Blade

Both represents a jump skill. Difference is, dredge line is a half pull making it better for chasing. Dredge Line also wins in utility because of the ability to pull to terrain while Zenith Blade can't. CD Reduction after a successful pull is just the cherry on the cake.

Winner : Nautilus

Titan's Wrath vs Eclipse

Shields. Eclipse isn't a proper shield, it just raises your AR/MR so you still take damage. Titan's Wrath IS a proper shield based on HP %. Damage component-wise, Eclipse is immediate while Titan's Wrath grants DoT.

Winner : Nautilus

Riptide vs Shield of Daybreak

Riptide is an AoE slow and damage while Shield of Daybreak is a single target stun and damage. Both shine under different circumstances. But I'll give this to Leona coz I love stuns.

Winner : Leona

Depth Charge vs Solar Flare

Stun and knockup ultimate that is best targetted at the furthest target behind the tank. Useful for chases or to use on the furthest target in a group to knockup the entire group. Solar Flare also is a stun, but the 1.5 sec delay and the small stun area (100 units) makes for poor utility.

Winner : Nautilus

I'm not bringing up Leona's piss poor auto attack animation speed and movement speed. Some ranged heroes hit faster than Leona. Caitlin for one, her attacks land faster than Leona's if triggered at the same time. From what I've gathered this was intentional to prevent Leona from being another jungling tank.

IMHO nobody should shove down to your throat what you should play or how .. biggrin.gif

but base on a nature of LoL, they will not stop making new champs without thinking consequences of its balance doh.gif

There's a post out there about why new champ tend to be OP at launch, forgot the link but the content is about Riot making new champ OP so players will buy them with RP, which in turn give them profit. They then nerf that champ down in the next patch. Rinse and repeat, profit profit profit!

To be honest I don't mind. Champs can be bought with IP if you really want them, I think active players can usually get one every 2 or 3 releases? If Riot can get a stable revenue stream through people buying champs with RP, that's a small price to pay for the financial health of the company. They haven't done any pay2win cash grabs, which is more than can be said for almost every single free game out there.

6300 IP is also fine by me, you're not supposed to unlock every single champion at a crazy grinding rate.

I played 13 games using Lee Sin today. - not jungling. Every game with the same build core (of course I change to MR if i need it to) and I lose 9 games.

I don't understand..is my way of Lee Sin wrong?

Items
Ninja Tabi/Mercury Thread
Brutalizer-Ghostblade
Warmog's
Atma Impaler
Frozen Mallet

Around level 4 or 5 I will start helping out other lanes that needed help to gank. Most of the time it went fine. I have no problem with my own lane - teammates never complaint of me leaving the lane to help others.

But why in the end no matter how good my item is, how well I play, we still lose the game. They keep on blaming on each other and eventually I got blamed too. Something like.. "Noob Lee Sin never jungle" - what's that suppose to mean?

I got my item FASTER then any tanker in our team or AD. Why does it matter to start the game by jungling? Plus with jungling almost 60-70% all the time the enemy will be there to gank.

Why waste my time jungling in early game and not around level 4 or 5 or something.

Why I have to lose 9 games - almost straight games - when I'm playing at my best.

Public game is getting..terrible. If you guys think my way of Lee Sin is wrong, fix me. So i can learn. Maybe it is wrong or something.

Plus I don't really like to jungle. But I do jungle - like taking the reds/blues everytime before the enemy does.

gee. im tired of losing.

Well, league of legends is a team game. So one major important aspect is the team compositions. Do your team all have, AD range, AD melee, AP, TANKER and support?

If your team lack in hero selection, you'll bound to lose the game...

Lee Sin playing as off tank imho not a good idea if your teammate hero cant complement it...

If Lee Sin, i prefer jungle... When u have the element of surprise, your team wont be making much mistakes as you will constantly give terror to enemy team..

Do your ganking can kill the hero or just make the enemy hero back to base? Do you leech your teammate experience when ganking?

Do you ward? Because you are playing off tank, and thats a supporter so u must have ward?

I'll reply to this specific portion.

You need to know that the majority of pub players aren't good, but think of themselves as gods. When losing, they will blame everyone but themselves. Before committing yourself to criticism, identify the source. If your team is losing and they start playing the blame game, it's rage comments so ignore it. Good players will tell you if you start to do things wrong, and tell you exactly why. "Noob Lee Sin never jungle" is a rage comment, ignore it. Also, accept the fact if you're solo queue-ing that you WILL get bad players on your team. Just do your best.

Second, does the fact that you got your items faster than any tanker mean anything? I see you built Warmogs, so what is your role if there already is a tank on your team? If there are already tanks and ADs on your team, they might expect Lee Sin to fill in the burst/initiator role. Coming out for ganks and your item composition should reflect this. Atmogs doesn't. But without actually seeing those games, I can't really comment much.

Every match consist of good balance of champions. I always the last in picking out my summoner to ensure the team is not over kill of tanks, AD or AP.

Lee Sin playing as off tank imho not a good idea if your teammate hero cant complement it...
well to be honest with Warmog's on and Atma is decent enough for me to kill most enemy heroes. But you maybe right. I should try going full AD. But sometimes it is safer to be a tanker with some AD rather a pure AD.

If Lee Sin, i prefer jungle... When u have the element of surprise, your team wont be making much mistakes as you will constantly give terror to enemy team..
I did try jungling. But seriously like I mention previously a lot of time I keep on getting ganked. I did ward the jungle but my teamates sometimes care and lend a help to kill the enemy heroes from disrupting me but sometimes they just "PING PING PING!" and does nothing.

Do your ganking can kill the hero or just make the enemy hero back to base? Do you leech your teammate experience when ganking?
Most of the time we get the kills. Sometimes I even tower dive and have to end the kill myself (rarely does this. also I did not die from this). Usually teammates gets the kill. Plus, I never stay in a lane more then 10-15 seconds just to wait for a gank. I keep looking at the minimap and watch my teamates health bar on my left side of screen to know when is the best time to gank.

Do you ward? Because you are playing off tank, and thats a supporter so u must have ward?
Every time. Plus I guess I am the only one who keep warded.

Now you guys get me thinking I should really try full AD on Lee Sin and leave the tanking to well..tankers.

By the way below is the stats of a few Lee Sin game I had. This is the only one I can get from my profile (the match history somehow replaces my previous matches. Anyone know where I can have full logs of my previous match? Or that is not possible?)

Take notice that most of the times I did the assist when I have low kills. - full tank mode.
