you do know that it is a 1.3 litre car, don't you?  how much pick up are you expecting? then again 0-100 in 10.6 seconds. hahahaha  yawn.gif

new technology? hybrids been around for many years, however in our backwater developing nation Malaysia its new.

problems? the japanese are way smarter than malaysians. Answers your question  wink.gif

About accelerate, i think it is far better than some 1.5l car. If anyone feel its week, most likely because of phycology due to eco guide. Some people don't feel like press the gas till the meter turn green.

About japanese if smarter than Malaysian, it's a defnitely no no.

For those long use Insighter, 2 findings for discussion here...

Finding (1) Do you notice anything when rev up (2rpm) engine in P-gear or N-gear. Then let go accelerator, throttler then pull back the engine very quick to ~800rpm. You will notice that the exhaust will have some rattling sound. In fact, it sounds like the mis-firing..hehe kinda cool ...  I compare with other cars when rev up, the engine will be (very) slowly bringing the rpm down & exhaust doesn't have this rattling sound. Do you know why IMA engine has that?

Finding (2) I switched to "mileage left" menu while going up hill. Initially 500km left & rev ~2.5k rpm consistently till the top hill. At the hill top (flat road), its still 500km then suddenly when on down hill, the mileage drop 5km in resolution from 500km to 455km (typically 45km) quickly. But when back down from hill, the mileage again goes back up... to somewhere in 1km resolution (ie 467km). Is this program problem or something else?

Btw, reporting my FC here.
~14km/l - econ off + 80% hill ride
~19km/l - econ on + 80% highway ride

* Safe to say... its between 14km/l ~ 19km/l (worst & best) after 5 tong full pump.
*
Missfire? U got engine prob bro tongue.gif
The on-board FC computer is quite accurate and able to provide almost real time FC and accurate total mileage prediction.

Japanese not anymore clever than malaysian. Its individual + effort dependent. 1 negative attitude, japanese are suicidal. Other than that, their cautiousness on quality are better than malaysian. Something we need to seriously improve.

Dear Insight owner.

Please observe your front bumper. Yes its a bit sagging, obvious at the joint between fender and bumper. But do you notice the right side (left if you're sitting inside the car) sagged more than the other side (few mm). Its clear if you compare the gap between the bumper and headlights on both side.

I'm going to log a complaint and see where its going from there.

Do let us know how it goes, please.

I noticed this long ago but that was after my bumper was banged. So I wasn't sure and let it be.

Thanks.

i did a quick survey and mostly commented that semi oil are adviseable to service every 5k km, but that is more applicable for car which frequently use for long distance drive and for car already clocked 100k km and above.
For new engine like us, it is ok to sustain up to 8k km, even Honda said it is ok and will not void any warranty (if anything happen to the engine).

Guess i will stick to 8k km, as already run 6k km now. going for 15k km service this Friday.

going to be my 4th service sweat.gif
travel quite extensively. this ride might not be the perfect ride for me in view of my travel frequency on the road and since my fuel expenses is covered by the company.

Seems fine for me. It is quite inside when unlocked so didn't obstruct the movement when braking
