just to share.
sent my ride for 20k km service and checked on the engine jerk and unstable acceleration issue.

i was told to change air filter, reset CVT and service regularly (WHICH I DID).
anyway, I have no choice but to use FULLY Syn engine oil as the SemiSyn-Oil is out of stocks!!

well, I must say, my IN2 is now MUCH nicer to cruise around, smoother engine (which originally already very smooth), battery easily fully charged, higher FC, now i can cruise for 820km for 30L petrol. i could feel that the engine is much much more responsive than before now.

anyway, high price to pay for the engine oil and total 20k km service. cost me RM513!!

Which service centre did you went to ?

last time the civic hybrid air con also can work during engine stop...heard that the compressor was driven by electric. but maybe want to cut cost, this was taken away for inisight model and we get hot air during engine idle biggrin.gif

Apart from cost-saving, this is one of the way Honda trying to extend the lifespan of the IMA battery, thus they able to give you up to 5 years or 140,000 km warranty for the IMA battery pack.

from what I read from internet, the version of Civic hybrid have aircond compressor driven by electric motor powered by IMA batteries. During auto-stop, the petrol engine shut off leaving the air-cond compressor running on electricity from the IMA pack. This will significantly increase the charge-cycling rate (or usage) of the IMA battery pack (especially on Malaysia's extreme hot tropical climate and stop-and-go traffic downtowm KL that frequently triggers auto-stop mode) thus reducing the battery lifespan.

Batteries technology still need improvement especially on lifespan and charge-cycling, so for time being, the improvement made by Honda to extend the lifespan of IMA battery pack is to sacrifice a bit in terms of cooling comfort during auto-stop.

The "Blue" day light you are referring are done at KL Auto.

Checked it out the other day, look nice in pic, perfect fit, but in real look a bit out of place under naked eye.

Drop by KLAUTO and check it out if it fits your eyes.

Yes, you are right. I did look closely at the right side photo of the daylight. Is not fit and came out a little. Thanks for the comment. biggrin.gif
