When you reach 180km/h. The engine cuts in and out due to the Limiter set by the car computer. See page 332 of the manual.

Ok, important information to all about WARRANTY.

At page 360 of the manual "HOWEVER, SERVICE AT A DEALER IS NOT MANDATORY TO KEEP YOUR WARRANTIES IN EFFECT"

At page 363, service under severe condition is for every 5000KM or 6 MONTHS.

HM must be hating me.

As long as you are good with your service advisor, you are good to go... I service my car 10K intervals, bring my own original air filter, and transmission fluid... No issues...

It was the local workshops tricks to sell fully synthetic oil. Fully synthetic oil not necessarily would last longer. It is simply means the viscosity is more consistent under extreme conditions. It is always better to change oil more frequently than using synthetic.

I have monitorEd my driving condition and the temperature and our cars generally fall under extreme condition. So no matter what we need to change oil every 5000km. Castrol website is a good place to pick few pointers on engine oil.

And don't show the warranty part to the SC, otherwise they may sabo your car. Just maintain the service at 5000km or 6 months. If you service outside keep a full record and follow as stated in the manual. Make sure the workshop is a member of local motor association or an insurance company. In that case Honda cannot claim incompetent service by outsider. In case of warranty dispute, HM cannot claim warranty void.

Yes, I am using fully syn.

Changing oils more often is good, but it should not be misleading telling people using fully syn is not good, having synthetic is good for your engine protection. It is just in a sense that for Honda case, the fully syn offered is 5w-40, compared to 5w-30 semi syn, the semi syn lower viscosity = lighter = better for low end torque for Insight, which is beneficial and important. Else if I am driving Insight, I would have opted for semi syn instead, and when warranty over, I will just go for something better like Mobil1 full syn 5w-30 Enhanced Green.

Did you tint your windows?
If yes, do check the water resistant plastic piece in between your door panel. It could be the culprit.
