QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Aug 26 2011, 01:58 AM) there is a patch i posted many fridays ago... some ppl just dun go read the earlier posts... oh well, since its Friday... here it is again:» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Added on August 26, 2011, 8:02 am QUOTE(fox_shinoda @ Aug 25 2011, 11:43 PM) My S2 sometimes the internet connection seems not to be responding. Mostly in my office I can see the H of 3G symbol however I'm unable to open any webpage. I need to deactivate data and activated it again in order to browse the web again. i did mention something similar for me before... Is it a firmware issue? someone who encounter this before can share a tip to fix this for me... in office, i have both wifi and 3g. but as we know, wifi will be the default and take over. however, usually after a while, the wifi connection won't work. like you... webpages won't load. games can't connect to server. i know the wifi still works coz notebooks connected to it can surf, etc... so, similar to what you do.. turn off wifi and turn it back on and it works. i m not sure if its just me or what... coz no one else reported facing the same thing. QUOTE(Eiraku @ Aug 26 2011, 09:12 AM) Trust me, your blue OLEDs will burn out within 3-4 years. If you're lucky. i think the screen burning out is an interesting thing since the smartphones are the rage only in the past 2-3 years. As for me, already Nexus Prime VS iPhone 5 in my mind (wallet can support or not lain cerita). And if Nexus Prime really come with HD reso screen, then no contest lar - retina can go die lol. @maks_pain: Fairly simple really. I'll post a screenshot tut later. on normal use, my screen brightness only set at 10% (lowest). so, 5yrs possible? |

QUOTE(PhantomThief @ Aug 26 2011, 11:25 AM) Thanks for the quick response guys, I appreciate it please dun expect the battery to last like 2 days... or even be on par with iphone. coz... with android, you can have things running in background, etc... the key is to have the right understanding and expectation... and then manage the battery. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride since I switched over to the "dark side" (used to have an iPhone Added on August 26, 2011, 11:29 am QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Aug 26 2011, 11:27 AM) fuhh... ok, i'll start my first rom flashing project asap... lolz...but on firmware talk... officially, no new firmware for sme set, right? i see everyone talking abt KLx, KGx, and what not... but i check and check everyday (not really everyday la)... nothing. QUOTE(PhantomThief @ Aug 26 2011, 11:31 AM) I'm just expecting it to last one day on medium use, with GPS off and 3G on for most of the day. That's not unrealistic, is it? Cause right now I'm only getting about 12 hours, with Android OS and Android System taking up a fair bit of battery. Flashing from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 should at least help, right? quoting benny from another threadlQUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 26 2011, 11:13 AM) Did you read official thread page 1 FAQ on battery issues n management. My phone with 3g on 24/7 with active data download every hour email, tweet, RSS n call/SMS n browsing average 2 hours can last me 10-12 hours and again, depends on what you mean by 1 day... if from the time you leave home and get back... what you currently have should already be just nice, no? learn how to manage your apps. If u dunno read the official thread for guide for me... my phone's plugged in whenever possible. This post has been edited by mydragoon: Aug 26 2011, 12:02 PM |

another thing to consider...
many ppl say... moderate use. heavy use. light use. all these terms are relative, imho. i consider myself a moderate user... but am i really a moderate user? here's what i have running: * tweetdeck refresh every 15mins -- 1 FB account, 2 twitter, 1 foursquare * google reader... almost 10 different sites. hmmm... dunno how often it refreshes now... * gmail... sync email from 5 accounts. * browsing about 2 hours per day * gaming (requires internet) about 2-3 hours including games like pocket legends and inotia * viber and whatsapp -- as and when got message, reply * sms and calls -- not that much but still comes to say... 10-20 sms and 15mins of calls per day? and dunno what else runs in background like that silly wifi sharing, etc... dun forget, GLU games also run in background. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 26 2011, 02:30 PM) ok, i think i have the same thingy... i dun get a sim card option.from contacts -- menu -- more -- display options... for select contacts to display, i see only: * phone * google account * whatsapps (blah, blah...) no SIM card option. added: from contacts -- menu -- import/ export... i see SIM CARD option there. one can import or export the sim card contacts. when click import from sim card, it will ask import to phone, google, etc... so, hope that helps. again, this is Android/ Google... Should fully experience it... Sync with Google. This post has been edited by mydragoon: Aug 26 2011, 02:45 PM |
