QUOTE(reila @ Dec 14 2011, 04:51 PM) @infernoaswen, looking for harry food too wen i saw it on the intro page here. but so far i haven found it in ipoh. headache lar wen hamsters are so picky. i read online before yes superworm do bite...thats why its recommended to give hamster superworm without the superworm head...so meaning u need to cut their head off by yourself...if mealworms no need actually coz the head is quite small...but for those who hamster hoard in their pouch instead of eating it on the spot then its better to chop off the head too btw, does anyone got bitten by superworm before? do they bite? Any idea? Is she sick? thanks for the feedback its not vomit actually...hamster store their food temporary in their pouch...then later when they go into their home they will remove it out & store it & eat slowly which they like first...its normal...because in the wild hamster will go around here & there to find food..then if they found any they will store it temporary in their pouch & continue searching for more...finally when their pouch is full they will return back to their home & store it & eat slowly...they will hibernate if its too cold...they dont have hands so cant carry & instead of returning back to their home & going out again its wasting time & energy...thats why they got their own pouch in their mouth somewhere This post has been edited by infernoaswen: Dec 15 2011, 09:56 PM |

any ideas on getting a hamster to gain a little more weight healthily? I wan a chubby hammie
just sharing what i see the other day. I was at the petshop, there is this family with two kids went to buy 15 females robo. when i heard their requests, I was like. wtf r u going to do with them and how r u going to keep them? through their conversation with the shopkeeper, they have not much knowledge on keeping hamsters because they don't even know how big a hamster can grow. the mother keeps asking about the size of the hamsters while the kids are there "shouting" the robos are very cute. the father then insisted on no breeding of hamster and wanted all of them to be females. what annoyed me most is their choice of cage. I cant believe they are going to keep 15 females robos in a SMALL cage meant for a max of 2 robo. let me search online for the cage. if i can find it i will post the link here. http://hamsters85.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/2002.jpg 36cm X 18cm X 24cm credit: http://hamstercages.wordpress.com/ oh dear, sorry for my grumpiness. @reila: I used to have one skinny robo while one fat chubby one because when i put food, the fat one took all. So in the end, I put the fat one in the ball for him to play while i feed the small one. after doing it for some time, there are the same size. XD I bought powermix from Pet Lover center and they love all their food there.
After i took care of hamster, i only know how to take care of them and that they need a lot of space. |

@ix3Rukia, I wanted to work with animals too. but my parents arent supportive of that.
@Nekochan, is that from Burp? I am trying it now. I just bought it last week. They doesnt eat the round thing and the kuaci. (T.T) i keep my hamster one per cage. so there arent any i-eat-up-all-the-food-and-leave-you-none situation. hahahaha... still, i think it is common sense to keep 15 hamsters in a bigger cage than tat. haha.. |
