based on my experience...all my WW dosnt like when i blow to them...but they never scream...just wavining their arms(or front legs) giving sign they dont like it...but for your case, i think they are still babies or still new with u, so they are easier getting scared...

they have given good tips u need to know...i just want to add some tips based on my experienced+knowledge from others...
my tips is how to choose good hamster...by good, i mean the hamster is tame, easy to handle, not easily scared, can get along with others and most important loves to play with u... heres the tips: IMPORTANT -choose hamster with perfectly match incisor teeth(front teeth)... -choose hamster without any signs of abnormalities(skin problems, abnormal movements(like alwas running in circles or running in one direction(clockwise or counterclockwise)), wet fur, etc.) -dont choose hamster that likes to disturb other hamster... less important -its is better to buy/adopt hamster from a home breeder than from the pet shop...usually pet shop dont give enough attentions to the hamster they own because they have too many types of pet to take care of...also, usually the pet shop hamster age is 1 or 2 months plus...its is easier for owner and hamster to bond if hamster is still young(3weeks is the youngest)... -do not choose hamster that always grooming itself...hamsters groom theirself because of 2 reasons...1st to clean theirself and 2nd to relief stress...there is possibility that the hamster that always grooming itself is easily stressed out... -choose hamster that not running away or hard to catch with your hands...thats mean that the hamster is easily scared or do not thrust human...it has high possibilities that the hamster will not let u hold them with your hands even u already bond with them... -do not choose skinny hamsters(if u like chubby2 hamster like me add if u got more... |

dont worry...if u think that white is comfortable with u, it should be no problem...as long as she know u and never feels u as a threat, she will not eat her babbies...
whether she thinks that u are a threat or not, try to give her mealworms through the opening of cage from the outside...if she come to u and eat the mealworm as usual, she is confortable with u... |

if she acts normally, its ok...u can add food or change water...
last time the next day after my hamster give birth, she climb up my hand when i give her mealworm...then i take her out from the tank...after finish eating mealworms, i put her back in the tank... im currently take-caring of my gf hamster...she gave me her hamster while she went back to kampung for raya...while she at kampung, her hamster give birth to 6 pups(3rd sept)...her hamster do not like me so much...she like to bite my finger if i hold her...eventhough she do not like me much, she still dont feels any harm from me when i take her out of the cage for mealworms meal... she likes to bite..but for the sake of eating mealworms she knows that she need to behave like a good girl... |

hi...It has been a long time since the last time I visit here....
this is kimo..mother of 5 now... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « these are my other WW... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « @CheeseBeT, its not entirely your fault that 1 of your hamster died...as u said, it happens so fast that u unable to prevent them from fighting...but next time remember this, if u are going to keep more than 1 WW in same place make sure u have enough space for all of them..make sure they feel cozy to live together...if they started to fight, be prepared to buy another cage/tank to saperate them.. |
