That is why its recommended to use tank as their cage setup as they have no means of biting it.

I used to use a metal bar cage...my hamster always bite the metal bar & the plastic which is part of the cage...then i changed to a 2ft tank...now he can't bite it already...

Congratulation. rclxms.gif Aw, looking at your pic reminds me when i have to take care of my cousin hamster robo. She was a first time mom and seriously, it drives u nut when she carried the baby on the wheel and fling them out the cage.

I took the wheel away though. and i dare not touch the pups so i put them in a very very silent, secluded area and XD They became full grown hamster. So cute.

Remember to feed the mom some hard boiled eggs. Dont change the cage though. the mom might reject the baby. You can search online on some help or you can ask me. I'll be glad to help.

Added on December 31, 2011, 4:07 pmReila,my 2nd pair of Robo's did escape b4..
Im using a cage with wire at the mid section..
1 morning i saw them running around in the toilet n living room..
I was like "Wat? I locked the cage but how did they came out?"
I thought i had sleep walked n set them free...
But few days back i saw 1 of them squeeze through the wire section which were slightly wider coz last time i put the water bottle tips through b4...
The Robos r the true Escape Master... smile.gif

aw man, i guess u have to throw away the wheel and if the mom is not there, take away the dead pup or if the mom will just eat it up later.

in the mean time, no sound or any disturbance. just feed more foods for them.

She's still that lazy ah?
Haiz...

By the way, it's best to remove the father once the mother delivered.
As he might cause her to get pregnant again...
You don't wanna end up like me having more than 10 hamsters at a time.
