yay v14!! thanks inferno

My male hamster chip , been humping , circle , hump , circle , hump for the past 30 minutes non stop with my female ww hamster , white.

I mix harry hamster food with leftover kua chi i fed my hamster last time.

I have a problem!Hope you guys can help me.

Okay, gold and white are sisters. I bought them from breeder. About 3 weeks ago , they keep on fighting , white is the dominant one so i put my male hamster with white , and isolate gold into my male hamster cage.
White at first didnt like chip , my male hamster but she never fight , just squeek. Now she very close with chip and i think she's pregnant and may give birth in a few days( I saw them have -wink wink-2 weeks ago )
And now, white hates gold. She will bite gold whenever she smells her. Gold ear and butt had bleed.. So i never mix them again. And ever since i separate white and gold , gold has been... acting very strange.

She will squeek for no apparent reason as if scolding somebody.
I put fresh bathing sand for her everyday , but she's still so dirty!
My chip and white dont have bathing sand but they are so.... white and soft and clean! ( actually i take turn for them. One day they get bathing sand and gold dont get , next day vise versa but i been leaving it on gold's cage this few days )

Any ideas why this happen?

Added on August 28, 2011, 6:11 pmdr vellayan is good . recommended doctor... but he failed to save my guinea pig last time . I dont blame him, i asked him for advice on the phone. he's really nice.


And crap! My vet friend , gave me a big hamster cage and 2 big pack of chipsi bedding! I gave the classic one to my boyfriend coz he wanna keep my roborovski , so i took the apple scented one for my 3 winter whites... Shud i stop using it?

i breed before. the beetle not really big.about 1~2 cm?? depends on the mealworm. that time i bought mealworms , after 2 days in the container there was a bunch of pupae. after 2 weeks , there are beetles!

Anyways , my white yesterday , suddenly bite little chip till bleed so much.. dunno why. she bite , chip was screaming and i tried to separate them but she keep bite him dunwan let go.. poor chip.. she pms kah?!

Aww.. i use harry hamster food for my ww wor.. its okay right?

Dont worry , i have 4 cages at home already >_<. If they need to go solo , worry not. I'm a good owner .

the cage is medium , but she only fights with her sister. When i put the male she dont fight at all. She's okay with the male.
I also dont understand why, normally they will fight if the smell is different but she likes my male one - -~
I put my male with the other female , they also okay.
My male is very very 'good'. He wont fight back if get bullied , he's a very gentleman hamster. No wonder the ladies dont mind to be with him.. but he very horny - -".

As for white , i also think she's pregnant , she's been getting really big and fat. But she still not yet give birth. Her nipples also seem like its 'swelling' but i saw them mated 2 weeks ago on saturday... as well as sunday monday tuesday LOL..
Well today is wednesday , maybe she wasnt in heat on saturday .
I already put her to another smaller cage that i just bought specially for pregnant hamsters to stay and give birth in peace xD .
Have a wheel , home , water bottle and food bowl enough for her every needs.


Anyways , i could not resist sorry. Pets wonderland having hamster offer , Rm18 each , they sell syrian for Rm35 , drop to Rm18 .
I know that syrian can buy for Rm15 butt..
I always love this white syrian that i always see in pets wonderland. Pure white , have black ears and red eyes. I dont really like the common syrian that are just.. orange and white. I love that pure white one.
Arghh could not resist . I bought it. Will upload pictures soon

^ 90% full of chipsi bedding.

I saw the hamsters in pets wonderland and pets more in very bad condition. The eye looks like got infection and always got a few hamster injured.

Anyways , this is my new syrian , Panda. She kinda looks like a rat + chinchilla sometimes ==!

White's nipples are swelling more large then before! I think she gonna give birth soon.. I hope. Looking forward to see the babies!!

i put my 2 roborovski hamster together for more than 6 months and no hurt / dying. Just fighting over the wheel... By pushing the other one down the wheel.

I put my male winter white , 6 month old with 3 month old female winter white. Already been 2 months no fighting / hurt or dying = =

agreed. Thats why i keep my syrian in a solo cage, 2 ww in one cage , another pms-ing pregnant ww in another cage. That day i just take out the male from the pregnant female for 5 minutes , after i put back she attack the male. But my other ww hamster very socialable.

Well i had a guinea pig and believe me , it really needs a partner or else.. u daii

omg! we have the same problem! But my winter pearl , is the one harrasing my winter gold. They are sisters. After awhile , i separate them coz they were making too much sound. Its no use i tried to 'stop' them from fighting but ... nope it dont work.

haha like humans also wert. Which human never fight before?

Anyways , just now i went back home , my syrian , panda , was like.. wheezing! Looks as though as she has flu. I saw her nose also like got booger. Anyone knows a reasonable priced vet around kl who treats hamsters?

its nose has mucus and its wheezing. google didnt help me ..

my roborovski hamster juliet ,which my bf is keeping now has wet tail! Lucky i talk to him about wet tail today when he asked why chip's body was wet ( he pee and sleep on it )

The vet says its in mild stage. Thank god.. And charged RM30 D:

Today when i wanted to clean Panda's cage , the cage was really smelly. I Picked panda out and figured out that she had diarrhea . Now she has diarrhea + flu.

I presume she has wet tail too... But nobody is at home to take me to a vet! I gave her some remedy of my own , apple cider vinegar + honey to try to detox her and give her some energy. She is still very active walking here there but not eating and drinking. I forced her to drink water but I have no idea how to feed her.. Should i mix pellets with water to make it mushy and feed her? Im so worried..

Damn it. Gold started to get very vicious with chip. He was innocently sleeping under the wheel , gold was running on the wheel , smell chip and attacked him. I seperated them to different cages now . Except for chip , for i love him so much , i took a plastic basket , put newspaper down there to prevent bedding from coming out of the holes , added a dish of water and food , a wooden toy for him. I think he's living 'the life' now. The basket is really big.

Update! : 1 ~ 2 days left for white to give birth!

heyy! what happens if chip and white mates and have babies while chip and gold mates again and have another group babies.

can chip and white's babies mate with chip and gold's babies??? they have the same father after all.

p.s. white gave birth today!!! yayy!!! she gave birth to 6 pups!!! but i think 1 of it is dead because it wasn't moving butt i've only glanced at it for a few seconds!

Its okay. Just wondering again , sorry for the bundle of questions ,
I gave a full bowl of harry hamster food to white on saturday night. But i am afraid that she'll finish it. The babies are just about 1 day old and i want to add the hamster food. Is it okay if i take out the lid in put the hamster food inside ( without touching the babies of coz )! Anyways , white gave birth in the middle of the cage .. im really scared if i add food she will eat the babies.

I want to give her a superworm too , for protein , but i am also afraid she'll eat the babies. Any suggestion?

@Techsub i bought mine at a fish shop near my area there. taman desa aquarium. around RM 1 for 12 super worms.

@noruddin oo... mine's a plastic tank but when i gave her super worm, she did try to climb up my hand.. yay she actually has 7 babies! i'm so proud.
