Ya, Agreed with Dreamer. Something is too good to be true already. Like today when I pass by the tunnel to go KLCC LRT, there's a lot of people giving out a piece of paper stated like this :

We are e-commerce Business Company would like to

Welcome Fresh Graduates and Dip/Cert Holder.

Join our member today! And you'll get unlimited income regardless to the level of your Dip/Cert.

Investment RM500
Memberships RM132

When I see this kind of things... haiz... another pyramid type MLM. f***ing cheating those with educated person into this kind of trap. I know it because I already ask what kind of "things" there dealing with. They ask u pay for RM632 ( 'so-called' Investment RM500 and Memberships RM132 ) and they'll teach you how to earn money. It's all kind of selling memberships also and recruiting more people to join the company. For each member you'll get RM200. WTF. People please don't ever believe in this kind of shits.

PS : Dreamer, really sorry for my rudeness before. I'm a noobie and I'll investigate and understand everything whenever I promote a scheme or something else. Please forgive me. Thanks.

It is okay. We have all been there before. We need to be careful about what we recommended so that we do not ended up be scammed plus getting our own reputation spoiled.

Allow me have my point of view,

there are a lot of scams even in the streets. You can see them giving advertisment papers at the streets. Lately a lot of "Ang Mo" do that also. (Example, right outside of Masjid Jamek LRT station) sweat.gif If those schemes are good, I think their staff will grab all those opponunity, why leave it to us? They even didnt state their company name/address in the paper.

If a person tell you he earns a lot, try to see what car he drive and where he stay.

"Good things will not need to advertise"

I just got my return RM280+ from my RM5K investment on buying health care fund 4 months ago from UOB. The money is little, but it is a good start. smile.gif I'm happy with it.

EPF is a sheme introduce by gov for most people who cannot control their spending. Thats wat I think.

only if u got 50k in your account 1......then u will get approach by those unit trust agent asking u to invest to their company only to find out later after 5 year your money will depreciate to 45k or 40k....no that im saying unit trust is bad just they still have transparency issues that should not be taken for granted.

The richest person that I know ride a Cefiro and live in a medium sized single storey bangalow. Sam Walton drove an old pickup truck.

People that are very rich do not have to sell anything to you. And, the last thing they want is more attention and get their family robbed and kidnaped.

a lot of scammers use this big car as their scam tools, they will say they join this mlm and now he drive a BMW so and so, what you dont know is the behind thing, everyone can drive a big car now adays, but it doesnt mean he is a successful person.

wrong, look at coca cola, McD, BMW etc, they are reknown , yet they still advertise, advertising is not only work as simply advertise to show the public how good your product is. there are alot more functions for adverstising

what I will say is, bad things not need to advertise. or you get yourself into troubles

Nowadays, scammers are everywhere. If we're not greedy, then I think we won't be scammed. Keep in mind that, there's no free lunch in this world. You need to put effort, then only you get returns. Can't be denied that someone has earned a lot through MLM, but how many of them can do it? If you're clear about their system and you're interested to persuade people to join or buy your product, then go ahead. If you're not, please stay away from the MLM.

I more believe in investment. There's no way we can earn fast cash. Just put effort to learn all about investment, then you can get profit from the investment.

Insurance also considered a kind of investment ? In the sense of providing financial security if there case some unfortunate event happen to us ?

But what I understand from insurance is that we need to pay it every month but the money will not return to us in the future. Insurance just provides us sense of security ?

Not sure bout this though. Please correct me if I am wrong.

there is another type of investment but also the RISKIEST of all investment.
its called speculation.

you predict which antics(cars,pots,table....) will appreciate in price in the future. or you predict which artist will be very famous in the future, buy his picture or arts now, and hopefully you can sell the price like picasso pics when he go famous.

or you buy some stuff in the ebay claim to be used by some famous star like madonna. now a days people willing to pay crazy price to buy things used by beattles and elvis.

but if you predict it wrong...it's just piece of junk....

another investment is to invest in your kids, hoping someday they will take care of you when you get old.well...sadly these type of investment are proven to be failed than succesful, most of us are just kacang lupakan kulit.

Guys I am trying to point out that, by having to take those consideration, it at least narrow down your scope. Thought, there may have some exception.

Money kept in insurance will be returned to you when the policy expires. And yes, with interest.

If I'm not mistaken, insurance companies nowadays come out with some insurance plan that is investment. I'm not very clear about this, but heard of it before. Anybody got information in this?

I think insurance is very important in financial planning.

For sure, insurance is a better investment compared to MLM. In fact, MLM is a job instead of an investment.

1) Read my thread on our discussion on insurance.

2) You are confusing two different things here. Selling insurance versus buying insurance. People who sell life insurance makes a lot of money on commissions. So, compare to MLM, selling life insurance is a lot more profitable. As for buying life insurance, most people buy the wrong kind and wrong amount of life insurance. They are making life insurance agent rich and getting very little in return.
