the price of gold is very high in the market...has been raising up twice as much as the previous two years...not really advisable to buy gold now.

Thanks for the advice, low yat 82.
As the matter of fact, i have deposited a small sum of money into FD two years ago and i am still gaining some interest now.

But i know it's the risk-free investment and of course i think most of you here agree that it will not grow as much as other investment.

I would prefer to learn or analyse other investments that would grow more in terms of money in the future. laugh.gif

Hi,

It's better you understand about financial planning. Set your financial target, then come out some plans to achieve your target.

First, you can save up some money in FD, for emergency usage. This amount depends on your expenditure. It's advisable you save an amount equal to your three month expenditure, thus, even you are jobless for 3 months, you still can survive.
After that, plan some investment strategies, start with mutual funds, insurances then stock market. Mutual funds are easy to understand, it's low risk, also low returns, if compared to stock. Then you can go for stock trading in KLSE.

Good Luck.

From my understanding, investment nowadays include mutual fund, property, stock market, insurances, bonds, futures, and currency exchange. Does anybody know about other mode of investment? Please share here.

Insurance also considered a kind of investment ? In the sense of providing financial security if there case some unfortunate event happen to us ?

But what I understand from insurance is that we need to pay it every month but the money will not return to us in the future. Insurance just provides us sense of security ?

Not sure bout this though. Please correct me if I am wrong.
