Guys, it's been a while since we had a proper TT (last PROPER TT that we had was Mega TT V5.0 on the 14th May 2011 at Kayu Nasi Kandar, Aman Suria.), so I thought it might be a good idea to organize another TT on the 16th of September. It's a Friday and a public holiday, shouldn't be much of a problem for members to attend if they really want to and have the heart to do so.
What I meant by a proper TT? To be honest, we've had dozens of TTs and mini TTs, but new members rarely show up. It's as if their existence is purely fictional and they live only in the thread. The aim of this TT is to meet new members, share more knowledge about our dear Personas and have fun. Do not be intimidated by the use of English in this thread as we're a multi-racial community that speaks all sorts of language & dialects during TTs. (English, Malay, Cantonese, Hokkien, Mandarin, you name it.. I can speak Russian as well if you want me to. )
What are we going to do during the TT? Well the plan is actually to meet up at the parking lot by 8PM, and then we'll drive and bring our TT to Genting Highlands. Expecting around 10+ members to join this TT, but if it's less than that it's fine also.

New members are welcomed with open arms.. Awesome.. Now got 15 members ady.. Finally for the first TT we meet quota.. haha..
I have some suggestions to make here.. Since this TT is gonna be quite big this time.. I don't quite want it to be a sosej-fest just like how the previous TTs used to be. And since our only female member (phythia79) is no longer active (how sad), this never-ending chain of gay parade will never ever cease to exist.
The point that I'm trying to illustrate here is.. Bring ur chicks along!! try to bring ur gfs or friends along if possible.. This TT is open to all, & of course.. The more the merrier.. What do u guys think about this? Feedbacks pls
TO ALL FELLOW PPLYNC MEMBERS WHO ARE DRIVING PERSONA ELEGANCE:
If you have ever experienced sounds (tak tak tak tak tak) coming from your engine during cold start in the morning, then it MAY BE one of the infamous Proton's manufacturing defect: the IAFM problem. IAFM noise is most noticeable during cold start, and you may hear the frequency of the noise going up or down depending on the RPM that the engine is running at. The noise is identical to a diesel truck or lorry's engine idling noise. Once the engine has warmed up, the noise will become softer or totally eliminated. This is because the plastic components on one of the valves on IAFM expands with heat. Below is a video of a member's car with IAFM problem.
So far the problems that may be associated with IAFM noise are nothing major, but in certain cases it may cause severe throttle lag, and the noise may get louder over time. Some owners have even experienced increase in fuel consumption and bad engine response.
If you visit the service centre and the mechanic or service attendant tells you that the noise is not caused by IAFM as our Persona Elegance comes with new batch of IAFM modules, DO NOT believe what they said.
You may: 1.) Ask them to diagnose and tell you what exactly is the problem since they insisted that it's not IAFM module noise. 2.) If the mechanics at CoSE tell you that the noise is not caused by IAFM, go to a few different SCs, have them to check your IAFM module for imperfections on the valve, then get them to write a report each. Compile these reports & bring it to CoSE's customer service and file a complaint, give it to their higher authority.
Now, do remember that they may not be able to figure the noise out if you send your car to SC as the engine has already warmed up. Park your car and leave it there for an hour or so for the engine to cool down, then get the service attendant or mechanic to listen to the noise as you start the engine.
Again, I would like to stress on this main point as I've experienced this myself and wasted almost a month plus before sending it to a different SC just to have the noise diagnosed as IAFM problem; If the guys at CoSE tells you that it's not IAFM problem but your guts and 13 other SCs tell u that it is, then it IS IAFM problem. In my case they never even bothered to check as the engine has already warmed up and the sound was gone by the time the mechanic laid his hands on my car.
This serves as an important announcement to all Persona Elegance (PE) owners as to not overlook this small issue that may lead to greater problems in the future. The price of IAFM modules has dropped since year 2009 (from RM 1200+ in late 2008 to RM 2xx in 2011) because of the frequency of Campro IAFM engines having this problem. Still, it's our right to claim the IAFM modules as they are covered under warranty and malfunctioned units are manufacturing defects. We should not wait till the warranty period is over and then pay them RM300+ including labour to fix a defect that is there from day 1 of ownership of the car itself.
I hope all the Persona Elegance owners out there take note of this issue and do not keep an eye closed.

after finish service, the same machenic fat guy, take my car for test drive, again nvr slow down, becoz the floor is slightly senget, this time my front bumper hit the floor, he jus buat tak tau n drive one round. his work ethic reli bad.
when service, before the oil finish dripping he ald close the nut, then i told him to remove n let it drip for few more minutes.
pls avoid this SC at all cost. wat can i get from them as compensation arr?

Pls add my customer review for Senaxis. I have already complain to i-care but i tink thr is no action to be taken from them as i had to call thm numerous times to gt a reply from them. So i tink it is better to let all our proud PE owner to know n avoid the place at ALL cost as it would bring them a lot of heartache whn their new PE is serviced by great 'professional' at that place.
The issues that i had to face until i change a diff place.
a. On the first day of obtaining the car from Atiara, there was an issue with the left hand side door window. Water was able to leak in from contact point between the rubber and window. It seems that the run channel rubber is faulty. The item was not changed, what the service center personnel did was just to apply a whitish liquid to recondition the rubber and put it back in place. After going back there for more than 3times and complaining on the same problem only were they satisfied to replace the run channel rubber for me. In addition to all this, I was charged RM3.50 for processing fee. So much inconvenience caused and I am still charged a processing fee? What kind of service is this?
b. After 2 to 3 weeks of driving, I found that there was a knocking sound coming from my front right hand side. The knocking sound only appears when cornering on uneven ground. It was very prominent when driving up and down of Carrefour multi level parking. I complaint at Senaxis about this issue. They tried a few times to identify the problem but was not able to detect it. Therefore, I did some checking of my own. I found out from the internet and some friends that there was some issue with the previous design of the power steering fluid delivery unit. When i inform Senaxis about this, the answer from them was that my unit was the latest design and the issue was not from there. In addition, the mechanic there was telling me that this was the infamous Carrefour sound and there was no remedies for it at the moment even after I highlighted that it was from the power steering fluid delivery unit. Finally, i got it fixed when I send my car to CoSE. There was no questions asked and the power steering fluid delivery unit was changed as it was a known issue (when I asked the person attending to my car)
c. After 2 months of driving, I was faced with another issue. There was a high pitch screeching sound coming from the fan belt auto tensioner. After sending it to Senaxis, the mechanic informed me that it was normal for the sound to appear and that we (the drivers) are to concern as we do not know that this sound has no effect on the car what-so-ever and that we are just paranoid as the car is still new. The mechanics there just took out the unit and sand paper the part and told me that it is very dirty due to high silicone compound in the belt. After that, they told me that the issue has been resolved. Upon reaching home from the service center, the sound returned again. I went back there again (27th May 2011) after approximately a week plus. They did the same thing again. (Sand paper the part). The sound was still there after the unit was placed back with an addition of a knocking sound. They told me to return again another day to service the unit. I was forced to return to them again. This was on 31st May 2011. What they did was the same thing again – sand paper the part to “clean the dust”. When asked why isn’t the unit replace as it has been time and time again having the same issue, they informed me that it was not under proton to replace the part. The car is brand new, less than 9000km. The 3rd service has not been done yet. Why is it not faulty if it is having the similar issue even after it has been serviced? In addition, the mechanic told me that it was the best that they are able to do. There is nothing else that can be done. (I need to live with this defect?) What kind of efficient service is this?
d. service personnel are not professional in performing their tasks as they do not look into the proper manner to jack up a car. In two occasions, my side skirt were pressed in between the car jack and the car’s body. I am unsure whether there is any internal damage caused to the clips as it is not visible.

Problem 1: Knocking sound when cornering on uneven surface coming from Front RHS Causes: This is due to the power steering fluid delivery piping knocking against the metal pipe and the body underneath it as the uneven road causes it to twitch up and down. Solution: Proceed to Proton SC to claim warranty for Power Steering fluid assembly. Claims are FOC, including the power steering fluid. Parts list they will change for this new power steering assembly. 1)Tube B - PW828913N 2)Tube A - PW828914N 3)Hose Return - PW828915N 4)Rubber Hose - PW820961 5)Clip Pressure - PW820962 6)Orifice Valve - PW895228
Problem 2: Radio hangs/not responsive while driving and no buttons seems to response to press. Causes: The RDS function is scanning for a clearer frequency. Due to different frequency for the same radio station overlapping certain areas while driving, this causes the radio to re-tune the station. Solution: Turn off the RDS function loh. Go read the manual on how to do it.
Problem 3: Klock klock sound coming from the rear seat. (Not applicable for B-Line ) Causes: The foldable rear seat hook has a bit of free play. Solution: Wrap some thick cushion type double sided tape to the hook.

1)Most SC uses Petronas engine oil. To use other engine oil, exp Shell Helix HX-7, its recommended to go to authorized service outlets instead. 2)Stock brake pads are softer than Sponge Bob. Recommendation is to change it to ceramic brakes. Better performance and lesser dust. Best Form Ceramic Nao cost just RM63 for a set of front pads. Can get from forummer Kelvin (if im not mistaken).
Tires Most silent = Primacy LC, slightly poor grip on wet roads (a tradeoff for less noise). Dry Grip High Performance = Bridgestone Potenza RE001, Toyo T1R (A wee bit noisier than RE001) Wet Grip High Performance = Yokohama S-Drive, Pirelli P Zero (Rare)
Help to calculate FC Register at http://www.fuelly.com/ and post it in ur siggy. Maybe in the next Version of the thread we can reserve the 2nd post for FC monitoring by forumers.. Or another ideal way to calculate is to 1) Fill full tank petrol and reset trip meter 2) Drive car like mad fella or slow like aunty.. 3) When u need to refill the tank (no matter is only used half tank only or use till no more petrol in tank), top it back up to full tank (remember to note down how many litres filled in, using the price instead is subjective as petrol price fluctuates up and down and may affect future comparison). 4) Jot down mileage from previous full tank till refill and reset trip meter again. 5) Calculate (FC= Total mileage/Litres filled to top up back to full tank). 6) Post it up onto our club here for comparison. State ( XX% city driving / YY%highway) in XX KM/L format..

d r3 bumper i also dun quite like but if it is on satria neo it is nice la... d gen2 cps bumper almost same as persona's jz that the grill part different... but gen2 cps bumper dun hv skirting
