It is not recommended and may brick ur damaged ur phone. But for those who hard reset or soft reset will probably lose ovi store, social, anna updates (2/2) option and many more since they cant installed them back. Just to share easy but DANGEROUS option. Now im happy with my N8.


Ops. Forgot one thing. U can also go to Nokia Care Center and get them to do it for u.. Easy and not dangerous..

those who can install the 2 small updates successfully....any extra stuffs? eg : split screen?

coz i edi have my office and adobe running, just split screen missing.if the updates don't bring anythg new i may just skip it and go to belle straight or stay the way it is

Belle is nice but smoothness Anna have it. Its little laggy

Register quickoffice done. Check new features; nothing substantial that I want to use.

check adobe reader... nothing new there as well.

Although I notice that the app seems to responds faster.

Install the latest fmobi - check work fine.

Install new sleeping screen - also working ; have nicer looking clock with my face LEDed

Check store: The update for
Ovi Maps 3.6 (no need I have 3.7)
Social 1.3.215 (no need I have 1.3.237)

may be something wrong with the store.

Nokia social, working like a charm as ever.

I have a spare 1G memory card and wanted to use it in the N8 for some backup files. Unfortunately there are some useless data/files in it and I don't seems to be able to delete them nor able to format this memory card. Anyone care to show me how? Thanks.

Just discovered one of Belle's preloaded features.

When the phone is ringing, just flip the phone to silence it.
Same goes to the alarm. Flip it to snooze.

Symbain is finally what I wanted it to be.

Aren't those features were there since PR1.O, sifu?

Updated to Anna succesfully using tips from here.

First, I changed phone date to tomorrow 20 Aug 2011. Then used phone sofware updater and it showed 3 updates. I updated one at a time and it worked fine.

I'm curious....do you all have those 1,2,3....beside back button on web browser as shown in the video below?

Try to format it using N8 itself? Use the file manager. Trust me, if I have problems to format my memory cards, my N8 never fail to do so

Alright, after night long, I managed to reset my music library using the deleting stuff in private folder method. I suggest for those who have problems with their music library, just use this and it should be fine. And leave the phone alone when it is updating the library. Its gonna be a very long wait tho....

And I have my first positive discovery moment with Anna on N8. Social apps just blazing fast, unlike the slow as molasses speed before. I even started to use it more extensively, after being used with the awesomeness of Gravity and Fmobi.

sigh i can't start my ovi store..

no split screen but at least got portrait qwerty and smart dialing (it should be there in the first place)

anna eats alot of ram, prev with 1.1 i still got 135free rams now with anna only 105mb left, tats 30mb gone, but ironically, somehow i feel it is smoother than before..just curios how smoother its gonna be if i get back the 30mb
