WOW, my N8 just showed a big middle finger to me by deciding to eff up the music library all by itself. Yes, all of a sudden, my library just corrupted.

Maybe due to my library is quite big, I dunno but hell, this is such a dealbreaker, I have to swap my main sim into my Nokia E6 until this can be resolved. I hope so, I really need my N8, as much as it having it quirks

Just change the date to 20th August 2011 (or a day after the current date). Run software update on the phone. it should pick up the updates.
It's working for me so far.

tried edi....can show the updates, but still install fail

still disappointed with anna so far.....nothing improved for me except the UI part

it doesn't install fully but i have office and adobe back. social installs fine as well.

yep i have adobe and office as well + social, just these 2 updates wont install

Only in certain places.
I have it in Belle everywhere

settings > privacy > select all > tap on the option listed
then it clears tat option

still keeping ur belle?

duno which path to go now...flash anne with splitscreen mod or flash to belle straight

i have problems installing my software from ovi store...any one having this problem? all my old software is gone coz of the soft format..

in ovi store it stated the update package corrupted..emmm

i face the same problem as u all,
cannot update 1/2 & 2/2 update anna from OTA,
after that,
i update 1 by 1 and its installing and running great,
anybody face problem update,
try update 1 by 1.

i think is best to fresh install the whole thing..i did and is much better.. coz if you update from your old firmware there will be some installer files remain inside your phone c:drive...

update fresh is better,
i too after update anna,
format the prone *#7370#,
then instal the other update,
its running smothly now but the differ ANNA and firmware before this,
its eat up my ram but it really look beautiful

can someone give comparison between belle and pr1.1/1.2?

is it have a huge difference in performance (eg, laggyness and such)

if not much, i think i'll just skip anna and go to belle straight.

FYI, i'm still on pr1.1, since my connection here are too sucks to download anything.

How do you check when your N8 manufactured? I tried *#3110# and *#7760# but don't work

Guys better dont do soft reset or hard reset or what.. Just download the firmware using Navi with all files checked (total almost 2gb!!)..

Then flash using phoenix using refurbish option.. The phone will act almost as new with (ovi store, social, quickoffice, games, widgets, trailer and everything...) installed after reboot. Maybe should put this in front page ? So that people who reset their phone can recover everything back ? Somebody write a good guide please...


Safe urself from all the troubles of troubleshooting or whatnot.. dont reset ur phone... Been there!!


After flashed successful, restart the phone and do sw update. There will be 4 updates available..

Update 1/2 = 2710 kb only
Update 2/2 = 3488 kb only
Ovi store = 2668 kb
Social = 3415 kb

And all updates successful ..

If belle ever release.. Im going to do flashing using this method instead of official ovi suite or ota.. Pening wor pikir how to get back all the apps.. Better start fresh using this method...

Oh yeah...

Its not recommend to flash your firmware and for those that prefer the "Guys better dont do soft reset or hard reset or what" remember not to complaint when it lags or hangs.Enjoy while it last
